"A fifth caravan of Central American migrants was stopped in its tracks yesterday by immigration agents and Federal Police after illegally crossing Mexico’s southern border.
A group of more than 300 people, mostly from El Salvador, arrived in the Guatemala border town of Tecún Umán earlier this week and yesterday morning waded across the Suchiate river to begin the long journey through Mexico to the United States border.

From what I've read it's normal for illegals to throw rocks at border patrol, so reason follows they would take the same action against our troops. There have been reports that there are many military age men in the group, some carrying firearms.
I'm glad to see our troops can use force if credible threat presents itself instead of being overrun by force.

"House Republicans will hear testimony on December 5 from the prosecutor appointed by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate allegations of wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation, according to Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC).
Meadows - chairman of the House Oversight Subcommittee on Government Operations, told The Hill that it's time to "circle back" to former Utah Attorney General John Huber's probe with the Justice Department into whether the Clinton Foundation engaged in improper activities, reports The Hill.
"Mr. [John] Huber with the Department of Justice and the FBI has been having an investigation – at least part of his task was to look at the Clinton Foundation and what may or may not have happened as it relates to improper activity with that charitable foundation, so we’ve set a hearing date for December the 5th.," Meadows told Hill.TV on Wednesday. ...."
I surmised there were likely stings set up to catch anyone participating. Will post if I hear of more.

I guess Mexico has been lulled into complacency by 50 years or more of lax border security, especially by the spineless feckless eight years under obama. Guess they though they could mow President Trump flat and the revolving door would continue. Reality bites hard.
Now military age men are ones seeking asylum? I feel for Mexican citizens but not for the government officials who could have handled it before it got this bad. I wonder what the payoff was to order a stand down?

As an outcome, the mass influx of Central American travelers is backing-up in Tijuana Mexico; and this mass collection of people -mostly military aged males- will almost certainly continue for the next six months. It did not take long for Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum to see the impact to his town. Local protests began within days of the first several thousand arriving. Things will likely not end well unless active steps are taken soon to turn around the migrants. ..."
