"The FBI has asked retired Australian policeman-turned investigative journalist, Michael Smith, to provide information he has gathered detailing multiple allegations of the Clinton Foundation receiving tens of millions of mishandled taxpayer funds, according to LifeZette. 

“I have been asked to provide the FBI with further and better particulars about allegations regarding improper donations to the CF funded by Australian taxpayers,” Smith told LifeZette.

Of note, the Clinton Foundation received some  $88 million  from Australian taxpayers between 2006 and 2014, reaching its peak in 2012-2013 - which was coincidentally (we're sure) Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard's last year in office. ...."

"A group called "New California" has taken its first step towards carving the Golden State in two - issuing a "declaration of independence" which would incorporate most of the state's rural counties - while coastal counties from the northern San Francisco Bay Area to the southern tip of Los Angeles would remain part of the existing state. 

Quoted by CBS,   founder Paul Preston said "Well, it's been ungovernable for a long time. High taxes, education, you name it, and we're rated around 48th or 50th from a business climate and standpoint in California."

"There's something wrong when you have a rural county such as this one, and you go down to Orange County which is mostly urban, and it has the same set of problems, and it happens because of how the state is being governed and taxed," Preston said.

The group is serious about this effort - printing pamphlets (here  and  here  and  here) citing authority granted in the U.S. Constitution "to provide a republican form of government as guaranteed by Article IV, Section 4," which co-founder Robert Paul Preston says has not been the case in California for a long time. “There’s something wrong when you have a rural county such as this one, and you go down to Orange County which is mostly urban, and it has the same set of problems, and it happens because of how the state is being governed and taxed,” Preston said. ...."

"A GOP congressman introduced legislation that could jail public officials in sanctuary cities.

Washington, DC – A Republican congressman announced legislation Monday that would impose huge fines and jail time on public officials who ignore federal immigration laws.

Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) unveiled the Stopping Lawless Actions of Politicians (SLAP) Act on Monday, which targets sanctuary cities, which shelter undocumented immigrants or don't cooperate with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the  Indianapolis Star  reported.

"Americans are dying because politicians sworn to uphold the law refuse to do so,” Rokita said.

Under Rokita's SLAP Act, violators could face up to five years of prison time, and a fine of up to $1 million. ....."

"The Department of Justice will appeal directly to the Supreme Court after a federal judge in California ordered the Trump administration to maintain the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, an Obama-era amnesty policy that extends legal status to 800,000 illegal aliens who arrived in the U.S. as children.

The department will bypass the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which has jurisdiction in the case, and appeal directly to the high court, a rare procedural move.

“It defies both law and common sense for DACA — an entirely discretionary non-enforcement policy that was implemented unilaterally by the last administration after Congress rejected similar legislative proposals and courts invalidating the similar DAPA policy — to somehow be mandated nationwide by a single district court in San Francisco,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement announcing the appeal. ...."
