Girl, 9, Facing Four Felonies For Wild School Bus Tantrum, Battering Sheriff's Deputy

Girl, 9, Facing Four Felonies For Wild School Bus Tantrum, Battering Sheriff's Deputy

The Smoking Gun

November 1, 2011

A nine-year-old Florida girl is facing four felony charges after she allegedly threw a tantrum yesterday on a school bus, spit on the driver, threw rocks at the bus, and tossed a patio chair at a cop, who she warned, “I will <snip>in kill you!”

The child, a fourth grader at the Royal Palm School in Fort Myers, was traveling home when the driver told her to stop eating candy on the bus. The girl “became very upset” and started yelling obscenities at driver Robert Middleton, according to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report.

After threatening to strike other children on the bus, the girl jumped off the bus (but not before spitting on Middleton). She then allegedly started throwing pieces of asphalt at the bus.

When a sheriff’s deputy arrived on the scene and ordered the child to stop throwing the asphalt, she replied, “<snip> you! <snip> you!” The child added, “Shut the <snip> up. I will <snip>in kill you.”

After warning that she would hurt him, the child “picked up an aluminum patio chair and threw it at me,” reported a deputy. After blocking the chair with his arm, the cop restrained the child, who then “attempted to bite my arm and said, ‘I am going to kill you, get off of me!”

The pint-sized terror was charged with battery on a public school employee, resisting arrest with violence, battery on a law enforcement officer, and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.

The girl, pictured in the above mug shot, was released into her parents's custody last night and placed on home detention for 21 days.

Top 10 Reasons Occupy Wall Street Is a Joke

Top 10 Reasons Occupy Wall Street Is a Joke

Human Events
10/29/2011

The Left was envious when Tea Party protests popped up in 2009, and now has countered with the Occupy Wall Street gathering in New York that has spread to other cities.  While Tea Party enthusiasm became an effective force during the 2010 elections, #OWS will not have the same impact and here is why:  The Top 10 Reasons Occupy Wall Street is a Joke.

1.  Agenda:  Unlike the clarity of the Tea Party message of smaller government, the Wall Street Occupiers have a potpourri of juvenile demands, from free college education and an annual living wage to “forgiveness of debt on the entire planet.”  One protester mused that the solution was to do away with money altogether.  Apparently these recipients of federal student loans have yet to take Economics 101.

2.  Celebrities: The usual suspects of empty-headed progressive Hollywood stars are showing up at the Wall Street rally, many arriving by limo.  Millionaires Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore and Roseanne Barr have all made appearances.  Kanye West wore gold jewelry worth more than many protesters have made in their lifetimes. If they hadn’t noticed, these stars are part of the 1%.

3.  Soros:  The roster of George Soros-funded entities are aiding and abetting the Occupy movement.  AdBusters, an anti-consumerist publication that sounded the initial call for the protests, is funded in part by Tides, a major recipient of Soros’ funding.  Another Soros venture—MoveOn.org—has rallied support for the initiative.  Soros, a billionaire several times over largely through currency manipulation, says he “sympathizes with their grievances” of those protesting corporate greed.

4.  Arrests: Unlike the Tea Party rallies, there have been numerous arrests at the Occupy protests, as the crowds ignore city ordinances about overnight camping on public property.  Nearly a thousand were arrested in New York for blocking the Brooklyn Bridge, snarling traffic for those who work for a living, and hundreds have been taken into custody in Chicago, Boston and other cities.

5.  Politics: Democrats from President Obama on down are trying to find common ground with the Occupy Wall Streeters, hoping the protests can be the liberal equivalent of the Tea Party and breathe some life into a moribund progressive movement.  The hypocrisy is ripe—the President has garnered more corporate donations than any politician in the nation’s history.

6. Unpatriotic:  OWS protests routinely view the United States as the enemy.  The American flag is trashed, desecrated and flown upside down.  A Coast Guard female officer in uniform was harassed and spit on near the Boston rally.  In Portland, Ore., a speaker said, “F**k America.”  The protesters would like nothing better than to see the decline of their country.

7.  Extremists: It is no small feat to be praised by both the American Nazi Party and the Communist Party USA.  From aging hippies who are trying to relive the glory of the Sixties to the younger anarchists who have nothing better to do, many of the OWS protesters are extremists who show up at every left-wing demonstration.

8.  Trash:  After Tea Party rallies, the grounds were generally swept clean of garbage by the protesters, leaving the areas cleaner than before they arrived.  In contrast, at OWS protests, piles of trash are mounting, creating a public health hazard.  And after several weeks, many in the crowd are in dire need of a shower.

9.  Anti-Semitic: While the mainstream media pushed a fictitious story line that the Tea Party was a cauldron of racism, the OWS rallies feature plenty of examples of outright anti-Semitism.  The rallies are marrying the anti-Zionist tirades of the Left with the stereotypical view of Jewish Wall Street bankers to create an ugly atmosphere.

10.  Signs:  The Tea Party rallies were always full of clever signs, poking fun at Big Government and Barack Obama, and honoring the Founding Fathers and the Constitution.  By contrast, the Occupy Wall Street signs are characterized by misspelled words, profanity and inane statements such as, “One day the poor will have nothing left to eat but the rich.”

Black and Hispanic children and teens are the primary target audience for soda advertisers.

A new study reveals truths about soft-drink manufacturers’ marketing tactics that are anything but sweet.

A recent Yale study released Monday found that soft-drink makers are targeting black and Hispanic children and teenagers in their U.S. ad campaigns.

According to the report, released by the Yale University Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity, black kids and teens watched 80% to 90% more ads than white children.

Hispanic teens were exposed to 99% more ads than their white counterparts.

“Our children are being assaulted by these drinks that are high in sugar and low in nutrition,” said Kelly Brownell, co-author of the report. “The companies are marketing them in highly aggressive ways.”

Coca-Cola is the parent company for popular soft drinks like Sprite and Fanta, as well as for energy drinks and juices like Odwalla and Fuze energy drink.

A big part of the increased number of thirsty viewers can be attributed to the move toward online interaction, Brownell said.

Coca-Cola, by far the most popular brand on Facebook, has more than 30 million fans, and website MyCokeRewards.com draws in millions of clicks each day.

Police Officer Sues Deli After Worker Puts His Body Hair In Officer's Bagel

Police Officer Sues Deli After Worker Puts His PUBIC HAIR In Officer’s Bagel

A police officer is suing a New Jersey delicatessen and its cook, who admitted stuffing body hair into the officer’s bagel sandwich in revenge for a traffic arrest.

The lawsuit filed by Patrolman Jeremy Merck of the Evesham, New Jersey, Police Department seeks unspecified damages from Good Foods to Go in Marlton, New Jersey, and its cook, Ryan Burke, for an incident that occurred in February 2010.

Merck ordered an egg, cheese and turkey bagel and after eating part of it, he found it “was adulterated with pubic, chest or other human hair,” the lawsuit said.

Merck sought medical help and was checked for communicable diseases at a hospital, his attorney, Bruce Zamost, said on Friday. None was detected.

Burke, who served Merck the sandwich, was later charged with aggravated assault, retaliation against a public servant and food tampering. He ultimately served 15 days in jail.

According to a police report from the criminal case, “Burke admitted to tearing out hairs from his chest and his pubic area and placing them on Ptl. Merck’s sandwich out of anger due to the fines and lawyers fees he had from the prior arrest in 2009.”

In 2009, Merck charged Burke with traffic offenses. Burke later complained the traffic case cost him $4,400.

“Burke admitted that he did not like Ptl. Merck as a result of that incident and expressed that he shouldn’t have to see Ptl. Merck at Good Foods to Go,” the police report continued.

A woman who answered the phone at the headquarters of the restaurant chain declined to comment on reports Burke was fired after the sandwich incident. The restaurant’s lawyer, Mark Sander, could not be reached for comment on Friday.

Zamost said no trial date has been set for the civil case but it would likely begin next year.

GOP condemns e-mail image of Obama shot in the head

Va Republican party condemns Loudoun GOP e-mail with an image of Obama shot in the head

Anita Kumar

The Republican Party of Virginia is strongly condemning an e-mail sent by Loudoun County’s GOP committee that shows President Obama as a zombie with part of
his head with a bullet hole.

“The disgusting image used today on a mass e-mail has no place in our politics. Ever,’’ said Pat Mullins, chairman of the state party. “The Republican Party of Virginia condemns the image and its use in the strongest possible terms.”

Gov. Robert F. McDonnell (R) called the e-mail “shameful and offensive,’’ his spokesman Tucker Martin said. “He calls on those involved to apologize for their actions, and to immediately ensure that such imagery is never used again. The governor has long stressed the need for more civility and respect in our politics. An e-mail like this one undermines those goals, offends all Virginians and discredits our entire political process. It will not be tolerated.”

The e-mail, first reported on the blog Too Conservative, has “Halloween 2011” in the subject lines and has several other images, including one of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, whose face has been made to look deformed with one eye bulging out of its socket.

The e-mail invites supporters to a Halloween parade. “LCRC members and Republican candidates: We are going to vanquish the zombies with clear thinking conservative principles and a truckload of Republican candy...It’s fun and a great way to represent our candidates to a ton of voters (and their kids) just before the election.”

Mullins said the state party is in the process of contacting those who are responsible for the image and demanding that they stop using it and issue an apology.

Mark Sell, chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Committee, issued a statement that said:

“The Loudoun County Republican Committee yesterday sent an email to its members that represented a light-hearted attempt to inject satire humor into the Halloween holiday,’’ Sell wrote. Apparently, some individuals have interpreted an image of Barack Obama that appeared within the email as intending to portray the president as a victim of a violent crime. Nothing could be further from the truth, and we deeply and sincerely apologize to the president and anyone who viewed the image if that was the impression that was left. The LCRC deplores any effort to display, suggest or promote violence against the president or any other political figure.”

(CBS/WISH) INDIANAPOLIS, In. - Authorities have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a day care clad in a pink girl's swimsuit.

Robert Brenneman, 43, was brought into custody today after telling police he was the man seen in a surveillance video breaking into Kidscape Day Care Center wearing a child's pink swimsuit, reports CBS affiliate WISH.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials say that Brenneman claimed he owned the bikini and had changed into it after unlawfully entering the day care.

Earlier Monday, police reported that Brenneman ran from authorities, sprinting from his apartment into St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, where he was then arrested. The officers had received several tips after seeing the surveillance tape playing on the news.

The bikini enthusiast faces charges of criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement. He was also found to be violating his parole, which will add to charges.

IMPD officials referred to Brenneman as an "obviously dangerous" man who needed help.

Couple jailed and lose custody of daughter, 3, over stolen sandwiches

Nicole Leszczynski, who is 30 weeks pregnant, and her husband Marcin ate the chicken sandwiches while shopping with their daughter at their local Safeway store in Honolulu, Hawaii.

'We walked a long way to the grocery store and I was feeling faint, dizzy, like I needed to eat something, so we decided to pick up some sandwiches and eat them while we were shopping,' Mrs Leszczynski told local station KHON.

The couple paid for $50 worth of groceries - failing to include the sandwiches they had eaten - and were stopped by security staff while leaving the store.

Despite telling the store manager they had made a simple mistake and offering to pay for the sandwiches, the police were called, who arrested the couple for fourth degree theft.

Their daughter Zophia was then taken into custody by Child Protection Services where she remained until the couple were released from Hawaii Police Department's main police station the next morning.

'This is unreal this could happen to a family like ours,' Mrs Leszczynski said.

Safeway is currently investigating the incident, but has admitted mistakes may have been made by staff at the Hawaii store.

'From our preliminary investigation, it appears we may not have handled this matter in the best possible way. We are taking this situation seriously, and giving it our full attention,' said a spokesperson.

Mr and Mrs Leszczynski are due in court in November to answer the shoplifting charge.

A BARMAID who threw a wet tampon at a McDonald's worker "for a laugh" says the drunken prank has ruined her life.

Rebecca Leigh Crimmins, who pleaded guilty to common assault in the Noosa Magistrates Court, said she had "pretty much lost everything" since the tampon-tossing incident in the early hours of September 25.

She accused some people of over-reacting to the incident.

The court last week heard a drunk Ms Crimmins had dabbed a McDonald's worker's hand with a wet tampon, before throwing it at him, when she went through the restaurant's drive-through at Noosaville.

The confessed "27-year-old hooligan" said the tampon was only wet with cordial.

The promotional model, who was sacked from the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club over the incident, said the fast-food staff had "made a mountain out of a molehill".

"When the police came around, I thought 'you've got to be kidding'," she said.

But victim Luke Clareburt said he was shocked by the incident. "I didn't know what was on the tampon," he said.

"She deserves everything she gets. She's got no one to blame but herself."

Ms Crimmins, originally from Rockhampton, said people needed to "lighten up".

"All my friends think it's hilarious," she said. "My parents have been answering the phone saying 'hello, tampon tossers'.

"I have fun but I'm not a bad person."
