Yep, and THIS is part of the problem right here. A police officer that refuses to try and meet the people he serves half way and engage in an honest and substantive conversation. No, he'd rather blame the President who's condemned all of this violence but, is unable to control people's actions still. Ain't gonna happen. So, in essence, Obama was supposed to know that this shooter from Kansas City had zero ties to Louisiana, has no criminal record in Missouri, is an E-5 ex-Marine with an honorable discharge, has no criminal record in Kansas City, owned an assault rifle, and planned to gun down officers on his birthday. Really officer? You should be demoted for not taking a more careful approach to an already volatile situation. I guess you feel that the guy who ran ran over all those people in France was Obama's fault as well.

Was it Obama's fault when Robert Dear shot up the abortion clinic...and was shooting at officers killing one of 'em officer? Who's blood was it when that officer was killed by a white shooter officer? See, you have it ALL WRONG. It's people like YOU who are inciting this racial and cultural violence by not drawing the contrasts like I am. It's the vulnerable people that go to the blogs, read your statements, and fall into the same mode of thinking...without REALLY thinking 'critically.' Then, in turn, the vulnerable readers pile onto Obama and people like Gavin and Micah see all the vitriol against Obama and they snap...because it's senseless. Nothing right at all about killing officers but, I'm seeing where certain types of officers are fueling the fire. A President supporting officers and condemning this violence while this officer comes out and blames the President? Great start for repairing race relations, sir.

Lakerben, I don't pay any attention to these modern-day repubs. They prefer to live in denial and believe conspiracy theories and accusations rather than the real truth. That has to be a hard and depressed way to live. I just make my comments about the article and move on until I am attacked by one of the antagonists, then I have to deal with him/her. They seem to believe in the 2nd amendment, but not the 1st amendment if you are talking about a repub. Go figure.
