Sure you can nail them. In my state, if an unlicensed driver causes an accident... A driver convicted of driving without a valid license may be jailed for up to 60 days and fined up to $500 for a first offense. Any subsequent offense may be met with up to 1 year in jail and a fine of no more than $500. A conviction for driving without a license or other traffic violations may be used against the driver in a civil trial.
