Sure has, I always walked or rode a bicycle. Had no choice, my street was below the distance requirement to be able to ride the bus. High school was the closest 3/4 mile. Elementary and Jr high were 1.0 and 1.2 miles. The shortcuts were quicker.

Thanks for the reminder. School was exactly 1 mile. Only the kids in K - 5th grade could ride the bus. Some of those subzero walks were a bit accelerated.
