It's so easy to reach for instant food, everybody should go back to basics, Processed meats got me,no more bacon, sausage , hot dogs, salami , how I miss bacon.

Yep,
Doing your own canning and meat preservation went out of style years ago.
Cure your own nitrate free bacon Sully as well as making your own sausage.

Thanks Sully. Yes it is so easy to reach for a box. Agree with JAP, you can make your own sausage, at least the patty type breakfast sausage. Read labels or get the "Bobby Approved" food scanning app which may help.

Thanks JAP. I think we may be on a trend back to home preserved foods. At least I hope we're on a trend to more wholesome foods being on the market.

Started a diet in mid April eliminating almost all refined sugars. No cookies, cakes, crackers, candy, cereal, donuts, ice cream, soda, fruit juices etc. Didn't eat much of those to begin with except for Ritz and Entenmann's. Ate more fruit mostly berries, sweet potatoes instead of white or yellow for carbs. Ate all my meals within an 8 hour window, no eating within 4 hours of sleeping. Results as of today, lost 23 lbs with no working out, no gyms, no jogging. And my BP came down from 134 to 112. Eat less, eat less often.

Thanks Grwurston. Sounds like you made a big change. Congratulations on weight loss and BP reduction!! Did your sleep improve by not eating within 4 hours of sleeping?

Thanks. It stayed the same. I've always been pretty good though. I can fall asleep pretty easy and can sleep through almost anything.
