Some of those Chinese EVs are really nice but I would be worried about the supply chain.
China could cut off spare parts or updates or even have kill switches that would shut off your vehicle and leave you SOL.
As far as being a threat to the U.S. auto industry that is Mary Bara and those junky GM engines.

My neighbor has a ev.  He said it's cheaper than gassing up. But the insurance is high. He doesn't care he drives all over the country and plugs in. He said its great!

Buy Honda/Acura...I am waiting on the actual price of the battery replacement on those EVs. I haven't seen that yet.
