1.5 Trillion is the total budget for 2027. It gets divided between all 6 branches, Army, Navy, AF, USMC, CG, SF.
DOD budget money is used for operations and maintenance, salary, benefits, housing, healthcare for active, retired and civilian personnel, procurement of hardware, planes, weapons systems, ships, missiles, RDTE, military base upgrades, construction and family housing, contracts from suppliers, homeland defense, and of course service members need to be fed and clothed. It is not entirely used to fight a war.
Maybe you should try doing just a little bit of actual research before you post on something instead of just spouting off the first anti-Trump thought that pops into your head. That way when someone reads your comment they won't be like, WTH is he talking about this time??
