Denture cream lawsuits coming together in South Florida

WEST PALM BEACH — NewsChannel 5 has learned how many denture cream lawsuits are coming together in South Florida.

A Suburban Boca Raton woman is one of many people who believes denture cream caused neurological problems due to a high concentration of zinc.

They are suing denture cream manufacturers Procter & Gamble and GlaxoSmithKline.

Boca Raton attorney, David Shiner, says 19 cases have been filed in the Southern District of Florida and are being consolidated in the multi-district litigation.

"The federal court looks at certain common issues and can sometimes put those cases together to expedite those cases and allow them to be worked more properly so there's not confusion with different rulings coming out of different states," says Shiner.

Shiner believes there are about 30 total denture cream cases filed throughout the country.

Pesticides, dyes, hormone contaminated meats, denture creams, preservatives, chlorine in water, hydrogenated oils, mercury in vaccines and fillings, government influenced depopulation techniques, man made viruses, sugar substitute dangers, real sugar dangers, testicular cancer with copy machines exposure, brain damage with cell phones, fast food additives designed for addiction, drug contraindications, power line radiation, getting hit by a bus, lightning strike, obesity, depression, and a whole host of others.

It's dangerous to be alive...lol

Read that zinc is added to some denture creams to help bonding, with explicit warning to not overuse, over apply due to heavy zinc exposure. Also read one person bringing the lawsuit had improperly fitting dentures and applied it several times a day, went through several tubes per month .... can't remember where the story was posted or would link. Well I guess it's back to gorilla glue and duct tape!!!

My Mom used that crap, I wonder if she didn't would it have made a difference? My Grandmother never needed it, she had to pry hard to get the dentures out. I wonder why dentist can't fit the dentures properly so they don't fall out or need glue to keep them in?

Out of all the medical marvels we have had why can't dentist come up with something for their profession? The only big thing I can see in the past five years is teeth whitening.   Why can't they come up with advance proceedures and products?   Root canals are only good for 5-10 years at best, then the tooth has to be removed. So why can't they come up with something to save teeth??

I grew up in the age of barbaric age when the dentist would just pull the tooth. No floride or coatings. Fillings were mercury and I'm glad I didn't have them and instead loss the tooth. Mercury in the mouth? WHO thought of THAT???



Btw, I'm not a fan of dentist either.
