"The irony of this is that, of late, the Obama camp is reverting to more traditionally Clintonian policies. Now that the worst of the crisis is over, the president’s advisers are pushing harder for a deficit-reduction package."

"Now that the worst of the crisis is over"
           How have they determined that?
"Clintonian policies" "pushing harder for a deficit-reduction package."
Who has been pushing and putting forth deficit reduction budgets and policies the last 3 years?
They certainly are reading the news about the American peoples views on deficit reduction. Very timely policy change now that election is coming up.
As far as deficit reduction goes by reading my post last night on the new deal FDR taxed the people to pay for the majority of programs. President Obama has primarily paid for the programs thru borrowed money. Who is going to end up on the short end of the stick with deficit reduction? The poor and their social programs cut.

Thinking about the last 31/2 years under Pres Obama the poor have been pretty well sheltered from the cost and burdens of paying for these programs. By poor I also mean wage earners who have been protected up to a certain wage level too.
Would they cut back on a lot of income tax programs that help lower income wage earners?
Go into serious means testing for a lot of these programs.

Pres O only needs to be elected one more time and he will not need your vote anymore.

The months before the last election when they were trashing Bush and it looked like they were going to force the man child on us, is when things started getting bad and are getting bad again now even after changing the playing field. Lets see 2.2% growth for 1st quarter 338,000 new unemployment claims vs. 112,000 new hires in April , 14 million on food stamps a smaller work force. Give me a break Ezzie.
