The mom was smoking pot in the car earlier WITH the baby in the car? isn't there such a thing as second-hand smoke for pot also? good thing that the child is with protective services now. i have forgotten a cup of coffee on the top of my car, I have forgotten sunglasses on the top of my car... once I forgot my wallet on the top of my car... now my dh **snicker** forgot one of our kids in the shopping cart at the grocery store and loaded up the car leaving the child in the cart... fortunately the manager of the store gave me a call... I picked up (ds#3) and waited for my dh to call me panic'd... it still is good talk over the family dinner table. lol (no drugs or al-ke-haul were involved even!)
