Players can have tickets delivered in 15 minutes with new service

By Kate Northrop

The UK National Lottery has partnered with a third-party company to allow their scratch-off tickets to be purchased from the comfort of home and delivered right to your doorstep.

The UK National Lottery has authorized physical ticket delivery services, allowing players from 16 cities across England and Wales to get their scratch-off tickets in the most convenient way possible.

Delivery services company Gopuff can now bring lottery tickets to your door in as fast as 15 minutes, UK National Lottery operator Allwyn said last week.

With the rise of delivery services like Doordash and UberEats, and considering the National Lottery's longstanding capability to facilitate online ticket sales, it's no surprise that the demand for convenience continues to grow.

"We're always looking at ways to respond to the ever-evolving retail environment and the changing ways people are buying grocery products — with ease and convenience being key factors," Allwyn Retail Revenue & Customer Director Alison Acquaye-Acford said in a press release. "And through this new partnership with Gopuff, we're doing just that."

Allwyn and Gopuff require ID checks for all scratch-off purchases, and tickets bought via the delivery service are also subject to the limit of ten scratch-off tickets per transaction.

"We're making it even easier for existing National Lottery players to get the games they want to play quickly and safely, but we're also looking to make the most of Gopuff's presence in cities, reaching new customers who are already shopping through the platform," Acquaye-Acford continued. "All of this is helping us continue to build on the £32m raised, on average, every week for Good Causes — which is what The National Lottery is all about."

Seems like a good idea for lottery players in the UK.

I'll take the fifth on their lottery.   I know nothing about it, except use their Health lottery #'s on our lotteries when the feeling comes---very rare.

That being said why not have Instant Play (if they do, indeed have on line there).   Just went to KY lotto website to read about their winners.   One guy spent $1 on an instant game and won $408K!  Though we're not an anonymous state, they will honor folks wishes to remain so.
