Millionaire for Life to replace both games starting Sunday
By Kate Northrop
Players who want one last shot at playing Cash4Life or Lucky for Life should get their tickets now before the games' final drawings take place Saturday night.
Once Saturday's Cash4Life and Lucky for Life drawings take place, that's it — Millionaire for Life will be coming in as their replacement.
Feb. 21 is the final day to play either of the multi-state games in your jurisdiction. On Feb. 22, tickets go on sale for Millionaire for Life, the "for life" draw game that is confirmed for 31 states and jurisdictions.
Cash4Life players should purchase their tickets before 8:30 p.m. EST on Feb. 21 to have one last shot at winning $1,000 a day for life or $1,000 a week for life. Meanwhile, Lucky for Life players have until 9:30 p.m. to purchase their tickets for the last chance to win $1,000 a day for life or $25,000 a year for life.
The final Cash4Life drawing takes place at 9:00 p.m. EST, and the final Lucky for Life drawing takes place at 10:38 p.m. EST. Lottery results for both games are available on Lottery Post's Multi-State Lottery Results page.
Lottery officials from several jurisdictions recognized that these two games appealed to a core group of players, but sales "gradually declined over time as players showed through their purchase habits that they preferred other games," the Iowa Lottery said in a press release.
Winners with existing annuity payouts will continue to receive their payments beyond the games' retirements, the Lottery advised.
Sales for Millionaire for Life begin Sunday, Feb. 22, with the first drawing occurring that night at 11:15 p.m. EST. Drawings will be conducted every night via automated drawing machine in Des Moines, Iowa, Colorado Lottery Senior Director Tom Seaver told Lottery Post.
Players will be able to purchase advance multi-draw tickets for Millionaire for Life in blocks of 28, 21, 14, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1.
The new "for life" game will offer a grand prize of $1 million a year for life or $18 million all at once, as well as a second-tier prize of $100,000 a year for life or $2.2 million all at once. The remaining prize tiers are paid out in cash, ranging from $8 to $7,500.
In comparison, the cash values for the top and second-tier prizes in Cash4Life were $7 million and $1 million, while the cash values for the top and second-tier prizes in Lucky for Life were $5.75 million and $390,000.
At $5 per play, players pick 5 out of 58 regular balls and 1 out of 5 Millionaire Balls for overall odds of 1 in 8.46 to win any prize. The odds of winning the grand prize of $1 million a year for life are 1 in 22.9 million.
States that are confirmed to offer Millionaire for Life are Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Thank you Todd & Kate for getting this information out there.
Just this morning had messaged KLC about this on FB, but now I don't need a reply. (Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't).
I have an advance play ticket for this week. I won $4 in last night's draw. My ticket's final draw is for tonight. Wish me luck🤞🏼🍀.
I bought one qp today. Farewell Cash for life.
I'll get one and good luck all.
Tempted to play once last time, but hmm Idk.
I'm gonna miss this game. I see the Jersey Fixx was on last night. I guess they had to rig one more drawing for old times' sake. I heard a loud thud when each ball landed.🤪
Good bye $2 tickets ...
We never had this game in Louisiana. The new one is launching in Mississippi on Sunday. I guess next time I'm in MS, I'll have to give it a try.
$5 a game,sell will drop for sure.
i heard about this Millionaire for Life thingy
5 bucks a ticket, thats way to much to pay
Final draw tonight!
2 nights ago C4L got one last laugh at us players by throwing
51. 54, 57, 59, 60

So 1 last try to take this game down!!
Get used to it. They are all going to to be 5.00 soon. If this new game benefited the players it wouldn't be offered.
If you pause to think about it ...
Yes it is FIVE dollars a ticket as opposed to my states "mega bucks" which is TWO dollars but .... Mil4Life is cash value 18 mil whereas my state Megabucks starts at 500 grand and grows incrementally from there.
I may be wrong but wouldn't that 18 mil cash be double if it were an annuitized jackpot
Have a shaggy day
Shage3
* They should leave the words " for life" out of these games, cause obviously it's isn't.
🤨
No. It would be half.
Lottery games that advertise "$18 million jackpot" normally cheat you out of 50% of that by saying "well, it's $1 million/year for 18 years", and if you want a lump sum payment, you get $9 million.
With Millionaire 4 life, the lump sum really is $18 million, and if you prefer an annuity, it pays you for life with a minimum of 20 years.
I play LFL almost every day, but for some reason, I did not get my LFL ticket yesterday and totally forgot to buy one today.
I will get my $5 MFL ticket tomorrow and I think it's going to be a Sunday only game for me.
One ticket every Sunday 🙏
Good luck to all who have the closing tickets for both games.
"automated drawing machine". That isn't fun...
So happy Florida opted out.
???
You're not required to play it.
What were they supposed to do, have people manually pick numbered balls?
I'm curious why it matters to you that your lottery does NOT have a particular multi-state lottery game. That's a strange concept to me. I can't imagine ever wanting fewer options. Like wanting beer brands you personally don't enjoy to be banned from the state. smh
Player's club balance down to $8 so took the plunge and bought a Millionaire for Life ticket. Normally don't/won't play on Sundays, but what the heck?
I'm slowly getting priced out of playing the lottery. Less than a decade ago, my weekly budget for all Florida games was $23 (PB, MM, L, F5, J3P, C4L). As of 2026, it had grown to $53. That's when I looked at non-jackpot wins in FL and realized that for PB and MM they were few and far between compared to other states, so I stopped playing those. That's $22 a week staying in my pocket. Now with C4L gone, that's another $14 a week I'm not spending.
At first I was upset we're not getting MFL, but I'm okay with it now. That's $35 a week I don't have to stress over.
Fantasy 5, Lotto, and Jackpot Triple Play all consistently produce winners; usually at retailers I've been to.
Just put my ticket in today
Grand prize $18 million cash option.
It doesn't matter. They will travel to other states and spend the money they should have spent at home .
The most i won on Cash4Life was $500. So hopefully I'll have better luck with the new MILLIONAIRE FOR LIFE game. Although I'm not happy with the $5 per draw.
Florida has a multitude of games to play. I do not see this one being missed because of the 5.00 price tag mainly and the prizes are rather on the short side for the size of the matrix.
Just a matter of CHOICE!!!.
You can but you are making the wrong choice playing millionaire for life at 5.00 a line. I want to see this game die a painful death like many others that have been discontinued over the years.
No beginner's luck here on-line!
😮😮😮
Well, well, I guess we did not have a beginners luck on the 1st draw.
Only matched one number 😞
What are the best games?
This millionaire for life game at 5.00 a line is one to avoid like the plague. The prizes do not justify the 5.00 price tag at all. The matrix is too large and you still have another number to get in another small matrix. You may as well just play PB or Mega. The payoffs are better. You should stick to a cash 5 game and your states lotto. At least with those you have a realistic chance to win.
My first win with my own numbers
Not a million dollars but some reinvestment funds
Without Florida on-board New York is their biggest customer .
Congrats.. you're on your way.. lol..
Plus if you only get the millionaire ball there's no winning prize for that
Don't play Megamillions that's a ripoff too
I had better luck with lucky 4 life
