Two significant Powerball winners from Arkansas claim big jackpots a few months apart
By Kate Northrop
The Arkansas Lottery announced that the winner of a $250.8 million Powerball jackpot has come forward to claim their lottery winnings, just months after the $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot winner claimed theirs.
A $250.8 million Powerball prize won in Arkansas has been claimed by a lottery winner who purchased their jackpot-winning ticket through a courier.
The winner opted to remain anonymous when they claimed the jackpot, which is allowed in the state of Arkansas for lottery winners of $500,000 or more. They'll be granted a period of anonymity for three years, unless they are an elected official, which would only grant a period of six months.
Although we may not know who the winner is for the time being, we do know that they claimed their prize as a $118 million cash option. According to USA Mega's Powerball Jackpot Analysis, they will walk away with $69.78 million after all federal and state taxes are paid. Arkansas mandates a 3.9% state tax on lottery winnings.
The Northwest Arkansas resident purchased their jackpot-winning ticket through a courier's mobile app for the March 2 drawing, which is attributed to their Winners Corner retail location at West 12th Street in Little Rock.
To beat the overwhelming odds of 1 in 292.2 million, that ticket matched all regular white ball numbers plus the Powerball number in the drawing: 2, 17, 18, 38, and 62, with red Powerball number 20.
During this jackpot cycle, the Arkansas Lottery said, the Powerball game generated $2,351,480 in cash sales and $121,050 in retailer commissions.
This win also marks the third time the Powerball jackpot has been won in Arkansas, the instance prior to this one being the $1.8 billion jackpot won on Dec. 24, 2025 and a $25 million jackpot won on Jan. 2, 2010.
"We've been extremely fortunate to have not just one, but two huge Powerball jackpot winners in Arkansas within the last few months," Lottery Executive Director Sharon Strong said in a press release. "This month's win further highlights the lottery's positive impact on the state. From the retailers who sell our tickets to the students who benefit from lottery-funded scholarships, we look forward to supporting even more 'big wins' for Arkansans."
The next Powerball annuity jackpot estimate for the drawing on Saturday, April 4 currently stands at $217 million.
Powerball is currently offered for sale in 45 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Tickets cost $2 each.
Powerball lottery results are published within minutes of the drawing at USA Mega (www.usamega.com). The USA Mega website provides lottery players in-depth information about the United States' two biggest multi-state lottery games, Mega Millions and Powerball.

"they will walk away with $69.78 million after all federal and state taxes are paid"
That is definitely a life changing sum of money.
I would be more than happy to walk away with the $9.78M part of the jackpot 🤣
Congratulations 🎉 on the win.
Ticket was purchased through a courier = automatic cheat!
Congrats Ark powerball jackpot winner!
I wonder if this anonymous person:
A. Likes liverwurst sandwiches with .... wxy z and swiss cheese and Dijon mustard on pumpernickel. And moxie ... sasparilla ... creme soda or birch beer ?
B. Does this person prefer regular potato chips and dill pickles over my preferred sweet potato chips and three gherkins?
C. Olive Loaf ???? I don't wanna open up a whole can of worms now!!!

WHY NOBODY TALK ABOUT HOW POWERBALL IS RIGGED!?
EPSTEIN WON IN 2008!!!!
look up
they rigged it for him!
No that is fake news. Epstein did not win. The trust was some local lady.
P.U.!!!
What Stinx?????
Speaking of Ark P.B. jackpot winner and liverwurst sandwiches my state megabucks game was 14.7 mil / 10 mil cash for tonite ..... no winner but here's the interesting thing ..... Monday nights jackpot is 14.75 mil / 9.99 mil cash .... Of course these were all projections but why the reduction of the cash amount from Saturday to Monday when the annuity had been raised?
I think the answer is partly due to the amount of 2nd prize winners on Saturday night ..... there were 15 2nd prize winners and they are each awarded 5 k.
Have a shaggy day!
Congrats again to Anonymous Ark PB jackpot winner.

MEANS TRUST IS PUBLIC information ?!
Buddy, unless you name the trust with your actual name (which would be the height of stupidity), in more states than not, only the name of the trust is released. It depends on the state foia and public access to records law. Remember not all state lotteries allow some form of anonymity and allow trusts.
Look up your state on the pinned anonymity topic in the Jackpot section on lp.
Arkansas is on fire with these Powerball jackpots, first that massive $1.817 billion on Dec 24, 2025 (numbers 4-25-31-52-59 PB 19, cash $834.9M pre-tax), then this $250.8M from March 2 (2-17-18-38-62 PB 20, $118M cash option). Smart move claiming through a trust keeps the winner's name private under Arkansas rules, unlike states that force full disclosure. Todd's right to debunk the fake rumors; official releases confirm anonymity for both, no E****n or local lady ties, just pure luck hitting 1-in-292M odds twice in months.
