The whole concept of government taxation or regulation of online gambling is rotten at it's core. It stems from the now accepted practice and tradition of the government confiscating money earned by private citizens. We are afraid of what the government will do to us if we don't give them what they say we owe them. They think and we accept that they get a cut of every dollar we earn or otherwise come by. It's really outrageous when you think about it. They want to appear to be protecting us from... [ More ]

Maybe online casino's can program their website's to rip people off, but to punish banks and credit card companies is just not right. They shouldn't have to police every account..It's costly.

And we don't live in a socialist country..Or a 'dictatorship'. We live as a free people in a 'Republic'! If the Government doesn't like it, tough! They do a lot of things I don't like! But unfortunately, I'm outvoted!

They should punish the people creating the online gambling sites. that rip people... [ More ]

I think it should up to the person whether they want to play online or not. You can easily get ripped off in a casino just as much as you can online. Remember you never beat the 'House' trust me I have friends who deal in casinos.

Rigging games like roulette does nothing for a casino because they odds are already heavily stacked against you whether its online or in person. Black Jack would be a different story. There are sites set up to monitor rogue activity, one of them being Casinomeiste... [ More ]

I think they are delaying the crackdown because the law is about to be overturned..next month when they vote on it, it is going to pass...to many people want to gamble..and there are to many places that like to have gambling online to make money..as soon as they pass that law I am opening my account at Betslips again

It's still not clear whether Pick 3 and Pick 4 will be available to play online when the law is passed. By the way, I never stopped playing pick 3 or 4 online. Always get paid and always did before. So this doesn't phase me one way or another. Except they will be stepping their feet on my money.

This just angers me! The Congress can't seem to figure out how to tax internet gaming, so they ban it. It does not matter if the citizen want to gamble online or not. It should be our option! I have in the past played pick 3 and pick 4 over the internet but no longer do so but it really makes me angry that we don't have the options. I think I will send a note to my congressman. Thank for posting this Todd.

I know quite a bit about programming and computers. I have been using computers for 30 years. It is very easy for online casinos to cheat their players. All they have to do is rig the gaming programs to let the casino or their own players win. Anyone who plays online has no clue just how easy it is to get ripped off. It is impossible to police online gaming because the casino server can be located anywhere in the world. It is impossible to ensure the game is honest because none of the outside pl... [ More ]
