At his interview he did say he had a particular set of numbers but he didn't elaborate other than to say they were some family birthdays.

For about 4 or 5 hours!! I'm 76 years old, my parents aren't even alive let alone grandparents!!

But I adopted them just a few hours ago. Did they win???? LOL

i am happy and glad that someone won from washington state. i hope it helps them and there family. if i ever won the lottery i would at least wait 6 months to a year to claim my winnings, just to let everything calm down and so many people will not be so excited and curious to see who won. to come forward immediately is somewhat a foolish decision as many curious people are going to go crazy and try to hunt you down. i would also claim the winnings thru a trustfund. i would not go in person or u... Congrats! Wish it was me with the winning ticket. Next drawing..I feel it! Like the last winner from Arizona, I play the same numbers for the past 5 years. Have come close a few times... hope my diligence pays off soon! I'm unemployed and retirement 'was' to be in a few years. The lottery WILL be a nice addition to the rest of my life

I was thinking the same thing, I don't think it is usual for groups to hand-pick. I known of a few groups over the years and they only play quick picks.

I should have been more clear, I can't wait to see the winner from each state.

It appears the Washington winner not only picked his/her/their own numbers but bought more than one ticket. Since the other ticket won $150, it either matched 3+1 or 4+0 which lead me to think they had a particular set of numbers to play or might have used a system with a pool of numbers smaller than 56 which took several tickets to cover. It will be interesting to read how they picked their combinations if they chose to reveal it.

I'd wait a few months before claiming it and wouldn't tell anyone except da spouse. Wonder if your required to have your pic taken? I know if I won my family wouldn't be with me that's for sure. The less people know about you, the better. Congrats to the winner(s) though

In my view, this means we'll see a single winner (or a couple/family). It is extremely rare to see a pool of players that doesn't play quick picks.

Idaho winner still a mystery

One of the two winners of the $380 million Mega Millions jackpot will come forward today.

The unidentified Washington state lottery winner bought the ticket at a Safeway store in the small town of Ephrata.

The same player also bought another ticket that won $150.

Scott Kinney, Washington state Lottery spokesman, said the winner hand-picked the magic numbers at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
