too the nine member oversight committee who said , $ 141,603 is the maxiumun salary for this job by state law. You have already broken the law once for Mr Passailaigue salary almost doubled it. Now, that everyone know this you might get a person at a price half way between the two salary amount. No!!! the penalties and interest such not be waived for you either, paid your taxes like the rest of us. even those lower salaries are too much. how hard can it be to run a state lottery? you could probably find an 8th grader who could do it after school for 10.00/hr.

State law sets the lottery director's maximum salary at $141,603, but allows the commission to pay as much as $354,000 with legislative approval.

Well, that just makes perfect sense to me.

Should be interesting to see how they can pay the new Director less than the old Director's SC cronies.

The Arkansas Lottery Commission hasn't begun its search for a replacement for outgoing Director Ernie Passailaigue, but the commission's chairman and a key legislative leader said Tuesday that whoever gets the job shouldn't expect the same paycheck.
