I remember reading another article on LP about a woman in England who left her husband after she won the lottery.

I believe there are a lot of women who dream about winning the lottery so that they can leave their husbands, no?

Hint #2: She sued you.

You don't need any other reasons to not take this woman back into your life, but I guess that's what having children outside a marriage will force you into. There's a dang good reason to get married -- it gives you rights.

I wish him the best of luck and endless happiness, but I won't be holding my breath expecting it to happen.

Well since I never had a problem with Pedro, I know I don't need to be included in the 'all' who owe him an apology.

And once again I ask where is any evidence that Pedro is burning through the money? He gave $5 million to family and friends, so went up to the max without going over and therefore avoided paying extra taxes. He moved a chunk offshore which I think is always a good idea. He bought a very inexpensive house by lottery winners standards. Where in that is proof that he's mindlessly... [ More ]

Valid points, but could it also have been the reason Inez left was seeing Pedro burning all that cash so quickly that she and he fought over that, and she moved out thinking she could collect and put some away. Maybe Pedro has been horrible with money all along and she was the level headed one?

Congratulations to the couple. I think he did right. They had been together for over 10 years with kids not to mention she helped him run a business. If all that don't count for commitment and love on her part what does. I was wondering about the unpaid bills part as well. But as you know, when you are a big lotto winner everyone wants a piece of you. It wouldnt surprise me if these accusations aren't part of the run of the mill vultures trying to sue for whatever they think they can get their hands on.

This is a tricky one, but i'm rooting for these two. These things happen. I think they probably love each other but they were simply suffering from what people with money suffer from all the time, especially people with new money. That is, In the past when they had an argument or a fight, they would simply make up afterwards beacuse all they had were each other.
