Connecticut has the same game, the prizes almost similar to the Wisconsin's, BUT the overall odds in Connecticut Five Card is 4.2 which is NO GOOD

It's a hybrid game where players can win instantly and/or win something on the nightly drawing.

The tickets have five cards randomly selected and hands with a pair of Eights or better win something and higher hand values win more. If a player is dealt a Royal Flush, they win $5000. Hands less than Eights and Royal Flushes can still match the five drawn cards and win $250,000.

Slot machines have hybrid games where the jackpot isn't necessarily matching 3, 4, or 5 exact symbols; two or three symbols starts a bonus game. Even casino table games added jackpot features to their layouts. What makes these 5 Card Cash games different, unless you buy your tickets right before the drawing, players will have to wait for the full results. With overall odds of 1 in 2.9, players will get more plays for their $2 too.

Yep, they keep going for more complex games, with higher payouts, approaching scratch games. Pretty soon they'll follow these new $2 games with scratch game pricing too, and have $5, $10, $20 games for the high rollers.

All the while outlawing casinos and online gambling in most places, while the state enjoys their monopoly gambing operation and captive market.

It's not bad for a draw game, but scratch games still got it beat.(mostly)

This poker game has total payout of 60% where $2 scratch games can be 65% or more. We have a $2 scratch game with a large $750,000 top prize ($1.3M annuity) and still around 63% total payout. Typical average return is higher too around 55%, where this poker game would be less than 50%, although overall odds 1 in 2.9 are better than the 1 in 4.5 for the scratcher.

The auto prizes are about the same as your average $2 scratch-off, but is the difference is nightly drawing. Not many $2 scratch-offs if any, pay $100,000 to $250,000.

I guess they don't want too many easy wins! But then again, if you want to play a card game honestly you have to pick off the top of the card pile, how do we know the computer draw is picking the cards from the top though

The overall odds for winning a prize on 5 Card Cash are 1:2.9.

Most of the other state's 5 Card Cash games are 1 in 3.66 but their games are Jacks or better and this game is Eights or better .

I think you're right. The states might collude and raise the price of tickets to $2 or more and do it all at once to make sure that people will not be tempted to drive to neighboring states to play there. I need to wean myself off of the online games like I did scratch tickets. Idk how though

Two bucks for two draws does'nt seem like a bad deal, but with most games going 2$, it's becoming quite expensive and some players can only choose one. I'm think we'll see State lotterys go to 2$ soon.

It just started. Let the players decide if it's good or not.

Fact is, states are looking for new and different games to bring out, and charging $2 to increase revenue. If they don't try new games the old ones get very stale and players lose interest.
