Many players buy Auto Picks and if the tickets are misplaced they have no idea that they had any of the winning numbers let alone the winning combination and are forgotten and probably lost. Probably too many times in the past they have almost gone crazy looking for misplaced tickets only to find them and discover they wasted their time because all the tickets were losers. That's the reason all unclaimed jackpots are auto picks.

How long does one need to check a ticket?

Heck, I know within 5 minutes of the drawing if my tic is a winner or not. (Usually not, LOL).

If I ever hit a jackpot, I won't claim it the next day, but it will definitely be before 6 months.

Bottom line, whoever won this jackpot is an idiot for not checking his tic.

And I'm willing to bet that many if not most of those children over the age of 8 is a gang member. MS-13 starts them very young, and kills the ones who do not follow orders. Many of these children crossing over are sociopaths who have been through brutal initiations. If they were not already socially 'damaged' before, then the brutal trip across the desert, rapes, kidnappings, murders, etc may have done what the gangs have not.

That is another reason why DHS is asking for XXL underwear so that they can accommodate these children . I bet the pictures that has been published showing all these 3-9 year old children is just an anomaly as the majority are probably over 16. I can't see any parent in their right mind sending off a child, especially one under the age of 5 into the dessert in order to find a better way of life.

Hector is not concerned with the location of the ICE office unless he needs a bus ticket to another state. Rather than immigration, ICE is currently in the business of distributing all the Hectors, their cousins, and their children all over the US, without health screenings I might add. Children being those under the age of 26.

Hectors Burro has died and he can't get to the L.O.

Hectors wagon is broken and he can't get to the L.O.

The L.O. is next to the ICE office.

If the $12 M is not claimed ,why would a lottery official say , prize money could soon be gone with the wind when they know it will revert back to the state?

Never thought that The State can actually be the winner of a big Jackpot, but indeed they are!

The choice of words were poor and implies that the state will blow it away on a worthwhile cause .

Yup, it will be gone with the wind for the winner, who fails to claim it in time.

Well I bought that winning ticket and threw it away because Texas took too long to update their website. Yeah...yeah. That'll be my story. Now where's the number for the lawyer greedy enough to take this case.

I have to wait until after 7:30 PM tonight to buy mines in order to take advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free promotion that Ohio has.

Last Tuesday there were storms in my area and the terminals were down where I usually buy my tickets so I went else where. When I cashed in my 2 free tickets the clerk asked if I knew what they were worth before running them, I think she was trying to get an idea if I knew about the promotion before maybe trying to cheat me out of my free tickets. It was a cash value tic worth about 7.90 million. The 12 million was the annuity amount.

Still enough to retire on for me. Unfortunately, I have never ever been in League City, never mind bought a lotto tic there.

The lottery says that since 1995, there has been $837 million in unclaimed Texas Lottery prizes reverted back to the state.

Looks like it will be $849 millions after Monday.

According to the Texas Lottery Commission, there could be a multi-millionaire in the League City-area sitting on a winning lotto ticket from January 1.

A ticket matching all six numbers drawn was purchased that day from the South Shore Shell gas station in the 3300 block of FM 518 in League City. The jackpot was $12 million.

The ticket was a Quick Pick that had the cash value option.
