You are correct. It's been over twenty years since the last time I bought one, but it is 1/10 of the ticket.

Part of this article is false, 1 ticket costs 200 , most people buy a Decimo for 20 , that's a 1/10 share of a ticket.

but then again I don't think I could stand the noise from those whiners/conspiracy nutz all at once if it hit all one state like calipornia,florida etc etc etc

Wouldn't it be great to have this kind of nationwide raffle at Christmas in the US every year? I'm not sure we need the singing children to call out the numbers, but the lotteries surely could make a big event of it. The annoying anti-gambling people would probably try to throw up a roadblock, but I think it would be worth overcoming in order to have it in the US.

With wide smiles, elated lottery winners popped corks on bottles of sparkling wine Tuesday in the southern beach city of Roquetas de Mar, where tickets bearing the top prize number in Spain's Christmas lottery were sold.

The winning number 79140 appeared on 1,600 tickets in the lottery known as El Gordo (The Fat One), with each ticket holder winning 400,000 (US$434,800).
