I got a scam text over the weekend. Here's the interesting part, it's claiming to be someone representing Marie Holmes. It says this:

I think it is pretty unlikely that a judge will uphold this creep's claims. A 1.5mil commitment typically needs a written contract. I'm not a lawyer either but I've seen many contract cases argued in our Supreme Court on PBS and they've said for there to be contract between parties all must receive some benefits. Simply saying I have the rights to spend someone else money isn't a contract except between marriaged people maybe. I'm not a lawyer/attorney but I was a paralegal years ago and in my State it is against the law to record someone without their knowledge but only if it's via phone where you must get consent first. It's perfectly legal to record a person under Ohio's revised code 2933.51 like on a public street or public place without consent where no privacy is expected.

I did NOT read anywhere in the oral agreement how long she has to pay this $10 million, she could pay a penny a day till it's paid off, that's why oral agreements in court aren't good enough and him being a pastor is going to get him tossed out of the church by the board for bringing all this negative attention to the church. He was told by her accountant, not her, that the funds could be distributed once the foundation was established, pending information needed from the pastor. So this Pastor is giving Maria 3 options- all starting from a million dollars climbing. Tell you what Francis, if l was inclined to contribute towards your church, l would be purchasing the plot of land, you not going to hold any of the cash- end of story.Why on earth is he promising money to others when he himself has none?

You would right except that she promised it and he went and put up money on her word to buy the land. AND the minister has a 3 hour recording to the facts that verify everything he says. So for once I actually believe this minister only because he has a 3 hr recording. This pastor sounds like one of those TV preachers who's always talking about strangers giving them a million dollars as per God's instructions even if they can't pay their rent. Since races are mostly segregated in SC, I doubt if she even attends his church or know any of his followers.

Miss Holmes has done some dumb things, but i'm on her side with this. This fraud man of God needs to just go away. If this man wasn't planning to scheme why would he record their conversation on the sly? What kind of Minister does this? However, I wouldn't be surprised if she loses this case since i've seen other bogus cases result in wins for the huckster.

If Pastor Matthew story was totally true. He wouldn't been alone praying at this woman home. Most church 's members the entire congregation would have been praying with him. If a thief broke into your house to steal $1.5M from you and you shot him in self defense and defense of your property, it would be lawful if you shot him.

If someone is trying to break into your bank account and steal $10M from you using the court system, is that not a lawful reason to shoot him?

I hate this story and that pastor.
