Talking about finding stuff , l found this rather curious this afternoon. The wife l were at a stoplight in our vehicle two cars back, ready to turn left. The guy in front of us sees a panhandler with a sign, and instead hands the guy a can of Budweiser. l swear the guy reached out to take it, but then backed off, shaking his head with an emphatic No!

When we turned the corner l asked the wife can you think of a reason this guy refused the beer? She said maybe he is afraid of cops seeing him... [ More ]

1 night a month of only good acts and gestures made from one person to others(like this). I believe here in E.Texas we get a 30-45 second excerpt about once a week, maybe twice on positive stories. I could be off a bit on those exact numbers, so please don't make a federal case and pick apart each phrase ...The constant negativity of the local and especially national news gets real old, real fast.

Just a suggestion/thought/humble opinion and 2 cents worth

Honest Abe Lincoln would be proud of these people. It seems to me that 'Lincoln' is a popular name for cities in the MidWest. In Lincoln, Nebraska, which used to be called Lincoln Station, a Power Ball jackpot worth $365 million was won by eight ConAgra employees on February 22, 2006. I wonder how those winners are doing today.

My guess is that the railroad companies had a hand in naming towns.

Great story Todd. Gives you comfort knowing that there are people with decency and integrity still out there. Kudos to the clerk for being a responsible person. I can only hope the ticket owner can find it in his/her heart to consider doing something for that clerk.

A Lincoln County, Kansas, man is $1 million richer, thanks to a Salina gas station employee. The lottery winner's brother accidentally dropped the winning ticket at a gas station over the weekend, before the numbers were checked.

The winner, who lives in Lincoln Co. and chose to remain anonymous, told lottery officials he was rushing to go watch the NCAA Tournament when they decided to stop in Salina for gas.
