You both might want to make to make it clear she is not entitled to anything and/or you do not plan to share. Maybe make the same statement each time? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen if you win. Saying (questioning) that she is not splitting the cost of the ticket could be construed multiple ways and may not be the obvious meaning to a judge or jury.

You are not getting a dime of any win at any time and I am not sharing.

The Western Australia State Lottery, which is still owned and managed by the Western Australia State Government. Sadly, in the rest Australia, State Governments have sold off their lotteries to corporate lobbies. In Western Australia, the State Lottery has an App, which is a very convenient way to participate. Also, all prize money is tax-free and winners have the right to remain anonymous. US State Lotteries should look to Western Australia as an example of how to run a lottery.

I know a guy went up north to work and got a call from his Mama sayin' his sister burnt his house down. He asked why she done it and she said his sister said cuz she was in a bad mood. This is lottery news though, so I'm curious how the new Yorker didn't have the wherewithal to know the value. Clearly advising of a 50k cut leads one to believe the value was higher then the 20k .

I love transparency! As should most folks. The out of state cousin could learn a thing or two about being honest AND transparent.
