The things that strike me are the irony that somebody who targeted and killed a lottery winner comes out in favor of anonymity to protect winners, and the subtext that the temptation was dangled in front of her. It sounds to me like one more loser trying to pretend that some external factor is responsible for them being a really sh itty person. Pornography didn't make Ted Bundy into a monster that killed women, and finding out Shakespeare won the lottery isn't what turned her into a murderer.... [ More ]

I understand your sentiment, but remember Kevin Mitnick, a convicted computer hacker, later went to work in the field of computer security. Go figure.

She pretty much said what we all know already, that winning the lottery invites a lot of unwanted attention.

Whether or not such a law would have helped Abraham Shakespeare, who knows? He gave away a lot of money and needed help to manage it and made the mistake of trusting Dee Dee Moore to do it. His lack of education didn't help him... [ More ]

My dad, my hero used to say it to us as children under 18, i never did understand why, until now(late 30s)

and by mid 20s actually to late 20s, pushing thirties why he was so serious about it, but in THIS case, it would've been appropriate.

I can't imagine a man ALL/ANY AGE being so happy finally in his life, one day and then Killed. I just can't imagine it.

Not really that difficult to notice when a neighbor just bought three brand new vehicles and eventually the entire neighborhood knows they came into some money. Granted Abraham won a large jackpot, but all Dee Dee had to do was look at the website and see pictures with names of lots of people winning $100,000 or more.
