yes the lottery didn't give the money to Florida,us gamblers did who played mm for months from everywhere and contributed to it.

someone in Fort Myers bought a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $502 million.

That's a pretty neat trick when somebody in CA also bought a winning ticket.

I guess we have to worry about the winner being alive

My MM ticket that covers 10/14 was purchased before Ian even got to FL, but the winning ticket was very likely purchased about 2 weeks after Ian got there.

Fort Myers winner:...... Honey I've got some good news and some bad news ..... the bad news is our insurance company says they are not going to pay for any of the storm damage due to a language technicality in our contract.
