Hahaha no need to feel any shame. We all would want to win the billion dollar jackpot, me too.

So someone won 1M in Texas in the 1/20 PB draw. Well if they had added the extra $1 that would have been 2M.

At the top federal tax rate 37% they would be left with 1,260,000. No state tax.

10 year Treasury yield is 4.56%

So that's a cool 57,456 a year.

On average 4,788 a month before taxes.

It's not a crazy amount, no Lamborghini or Bucatti, but 4K a month would take care of a... [ More ]

No, I meant 1 million, hahahaha, that is what you get for matching 5 numbers.

It is super hard to match all the six, so I give it a shot at 1M, that way I am not so disappointed.

Of course with MM the extra $1 could be 2,3,4 or even 5M.

I mean, 5M is not bad in any way, I will take it with both hands.

I totally feel you Bleudog101 and ShagE3.

When both jackpots got won back to back, I was like oh boy, here we go.

I have my jackpot entry point set at USD 1,000,000 and all I need to do is match 5 numbers.

I also add the extra $1 and make my minimum win $2M at least.

I totally get the feeling when the jackpot gets won and it's not my ticket, but such is life.

I wish us well and I hope I get to match at least 5 numbers tonight on the PB draw

Your a bett(or) person than me Bleu ...... I'm not gonna play again for some time .... .until it ie mm and/or pb reaches around $200 mil.

Of course I am thankful to those of you who help to build the jackpot up to my entry figure.

Let it be known tho' that when I jump in at $200 mil I will still buy one ticket per every 200 mil increase so I kind of make up for not being in it from the beginning by purchasing 5 tickets when it reaches 1 bil and 10 tickets if it reaches 2 bil

Congratulations to whoever (or whomever group) that won this!

Finally going to do it. After both of these huge jackpots I'm joining the bandwagon. My start to play again is lower than most LP members----$50 million. Sure $20 million would be nice, but tired of feeding the coffers and not even $1`0 won.
