And if the lottery corporation can't get a hold of you via e-mail or notification,what then?

How hard will they really try after that

That's the harsh reality of the UK's 180-day claim window, strict from the October 4 draw date right up to April 2, and now that 10.6m heads straight to good causes instead. Makes Dave's Waking Ned Devine reference hit even harder, since real-life tragedies like sudden death do explain a chunk of these unclaimed jackpots. Subscribing online like dannyct mentioned is smart insurance here, as it auto-claims everything without the ticket risk.

Just based on the size of the prize alone, it's uncommon for a jackpot to go unclaimed, especially since wins that are attached to online purchased can be traced to player accounts, therefore making it easier for Lottery officials to track down winners.

I cannot comprehend this, especially it being an online purchase.

My thoughts are that the winner died or ended up in prison where they don't have access to personal emails, I don't know.
