The jackpot was also big in July when the grandma from Lowell MA won. I don't know what any of this shows except the jackpot gets bigger and sometimes it gets bigger in November and December. But I am curious, how much extra money is involved by having a big jackpot around Christmas

remember. the powerball jackpot is coming up on $100 million. don't say that jackpots don't get big around the holidays. plus, the mega millions jackpot has 9 rolls to go. that can produce a pretty nice jackpot in time for xmas, and add another roll or two to that and you can have a nice new year's jackpot.

The last thing I would EVER say on a forum like this is that I participated in a scam or manipulated the lottery. It goes to show you that the enterceptor is not thinking clearly. Federal or state oversight people can find out what your real name and address is and come knocking on your door. That was dumb !!!!! Privacy is not what it used to be .

3 years ago with my little PC I used to cover 10,000 combinations....all i had to do was put the winnning number on one line and with the conditioning formula i set up I could tell which ticket hit 3 or better in no time...the only thing taking about 3 minutes to do was page down,,,,,I'm sure they can do it with-in a minute of the draw if they have all the technology,,,it doesnt prove anything.........

I guess this evening's Mega Millions win can put to bed once and for all the conspiracy theories about the state lottery jacking up the big jackpots around holiday time .It's rediculous to think that the lotteries could precisely control the jackpots around holiday time, but it's nice to have the actual proof. Hopefully the topic won't surface again next year.Congrats to the latest Mega Millions multi-millionaire
