RJOh,I think you've pretty well summed up the ifs situation. Actually, I have tried the approach of making up my own QPs using all the numbers in the pool. I've just never had any appreciable luck with it. I've noticed that you have enjoyed some success, so maybe there's some validity to the filters you apply. I enjoy trying to predict the winning numbers, so I guess I'm basically applying filters to arrive at my number selections before I randomly arrange them into lines for play.BobP,I'm not... [ More ]

A good lottery system is one that can increase the bottom line - the payout percentage of the game. Period. And no system ever concocted has yet has been capable of doing this, guarantees notwithstanding.

BobP,I'm not opposed to wheeling. I've actually used some rather small ones with very good results. In those cases, I think I was just lucky to have been working with the right small group of numbers. But how does one make practical application of a wheel to a jackpot game if you're working with half the field in the range of 24 to 27 numbers?I don't really believe in the rigid use of filters per se because I recognize all combinations of numbers as being equally possible in a drawing.

When you drop a wheel into a tester like CoverMaster you know exactly the precentage of coverage the wheel provides for each prize tier. This only applies to the raw wheel pointer numbers, or a wheel playing all the numbers, it can't test a loaded wheel as you'd play it, though you can reduce it back to pointer by numbering the numbers (isn't english fun).Anyway, you can see how likely a wheel is to play above it's guarantee.
