I have just received word from the Vermont Lottery that the Vermont Department of Taxation has finally adopted a tax rate for large lottery prize winners.Beginning January 1, 2005, the Vermont Lottery will withhold 6% state tax on all lottery prizes greater than $5,000.Many thanks to Mary at the VT Lottery for not forgetting me
