I'd choose Cash 5 then Pick 4. I like the ability to get twice as many tickets by using 50 cents or four times as many with 25 cents. The only thing I don't like about the Virginia game is that the jackpot doesn't increase if the top prize is unclaimed. A good lottery state would have a good selection of games where the top prize varies from $ 1000, $ 5000, $ 10,000, $ 50,000, $ 100,000, $ 250,000, $ 500,000, $ 1 million and up. If I had to go with one that exists now it would be Powerball. But if I had my druthers I'd rather see a new one launched in NM..... something run by the mob, one of the tribes, or some religious institution. I would have to go with pick 3 in DE unless they had a 6 digit lotto like WV (6 out of 25). I like this game and wish I lived closer to the WV line where I could play often. The odds of winning are only about 1 in 175,000. They pay up to 10 winners $25,000 each if there were that many. I don't think they have ever had that problem. They pay $250 for 5 numbers, $10 for 4 numbers and $1 for 3 numbers. I play this game every year when I go to Illinois to visit my mother and I have won several times... [ More ]

Well I chose state lotto before I realized that 'other' would include powerball. I'd choose to keep powerball...unless my state lotto multiplies their starting jackpot by 10. It starts at $250k.
