I never understood waiting for the jackpot to hit a certain level before playing. A lot of people have won jackpots with just a $1 quick pick. Your odds of winning with a $1 QP are the same as the guy who won it with a $1 QP. It can't hurt anybody to invest just a buck for that chance. I'll throw a buck or a few bucks on any jackpot.

It depends on the odds of the game. For powerball / megamillions than 300 million. Right when the cash prize is greater than the odds. For the Washington state Quinto (odds 1:2.6 million) then I play when it breaks 2.6 million

It shouldn't be too much work to manage the money. Put the money you plan to spend in the near future in a money market fund. Put the rest in a few different no load indexed mutual funds.

no offense, but even the biggest of winners wind up having to keep working. you will either have one of two possile situations:1. due to bad investments, taxes, oppulent spending, etc., you go broke, and wind up having to work to pay off debts.2. you win so much, and make it work for you, that you need to spend most of your time managing it.either way, you will need to work again.

I only play powerball and I play no matter what the jackpot is at. Of course, I get more excited thinking about what I would do with 30-40 million rather than 10 million after taxes, but either way I'm never working a day in my life again if I win.

I play the lottery every day looking for 500.00 or better.I played the S.C. cash 5 tonight for a paltry 100 thou. That would put me in the lap of luxury. At least for a couple weeks.

it depends on the game, matrix, odds, and price. should the game be mega millions or poewrball, anywhere from $50 million and up. should it be super lotto plus, $10 million or better. should it be match 6 lotto, $2 million and up. also, the number of tickets i buy depends on the jackpot.

Hello Lotterypost,Longtime lurker, first time poster here.I play Powerball every drawing but I'll only play Oregon's Megabucks if the Jackpot is 10 million or more. I figure that if I win less than a couple million it will turn out to be a curse rather than a blessing.
