Chevelle, did not use the word offensively. She meant her significant other will be 42. Terminology we all should stop using.

Words and Actions.Remember when the Bush twins (and I think even Laura, too) gave the sign of Hook 'em Horns ? (U/Texas). That was offensive in some other country...but not in the US.There are words (and actions) that mean different things in different places. Being unaware of this, we go along our merry way, doing and saying our every day stuff, not knowing it could offend anyone.Take it all with a grain of salt.....un oh....wrong choice of words...I thought grain of salt meant to let it ro... I don't take any particular viewpoint on that thread; I saw it for the first time when she sent me a note asking me to lock it. I take it that cultural word choice is different in the Bahamas than in the USA.

I agree with Jazzy,Chevelle meant no offense. she's a real sweetie. I always try to remember what text something wassaid in. It is clear here that Chevelle meant no harm. I am from the deep south,though I would never use that term in anytext,I have heard it many times in the text in which Chevelle used it.Hope everyone tries to keep an open mind and realize she meant no harm....

Todd, No one took any real offense with her. I do think we were quite within our rights too point out to her that it was, (is), inapporiate in this context.
