No one would have my satelite phone #, that way I call whom ever when ever! Oh yeah, always use a Sam's Club ATT phone card when calling Anyone, this way the # I'm calling from doesn't show up on their caller ID

I would arrive incognito so that no one knew who I was. My name is quite common so I could get away with it. That way, I could give to people and groups I want to, rather than those coming to me that tracked my name down. They would have a lot of Brown, Jones, Smith, people to go through. By that time, I am in another country vacationing with a margarita in my hand and a new phone number, but keep my cell phone for true friends and family.

I would quietly parachute into the field adjacent to lotto headquarters in Madison. I would leave in a rented hot-air balloon. The aerial view of Lake Mendota should be beautiful.

I choose a car anyway if the family should win the jackpot although gas prices are very high. The reason I would have to take a car because the nearest town to find a lottery office would be Sacramento. However, if I'm in Tracy and/or Concord, I could still get the claim form [if they have some] and send it to Sacramento by wasting a 37 cent stamp.

If you win an out of state lotto, you're probably in much better shape to maintain your anonymity. The in-state news media has to report the lottery winners since the lottery is an advertising client.

Do a net-search of all combinations of your name, that is where the press will start. How much do your neighbors know about you? If your winnings are big enough, that is the second search. Next would be to find a family member with a motor-mouth.I remember a guy in PA won the largest amount on their Match Six earlier, the article said there was a line over a mile long to his front door. As an addendum, twenty million dollars in pennies would weigh 6,250 tons. You'd need fifty or sixty modern railroad hopper cars and a couple of locomotives to haul that to the bank - or home. That's two billion pennies.....

Down here in the land of hurricane Dennis when we have a winner of the state lottery from this county even if you've had an interview in Tallahassee, the local paper shows up at the front door to the house and also interrogates the neighbors anyway for bits information about the winner. Yes, in CA at least, you can claim your prize at the main office in Sacramento or at a satellite office. Fortunately, I have a satellite office about seven miles from my house, so I do not have to go far. I think you can also claim by mail, though I do not know if that applies to the JP as well.As for me personally, I plan to come in my own car. I WILL arrive at Texas Lottery headquarters in Austin in a rental car (only because I will be flying to Austin). I'll be alone except for my attorney. My family will be back home awaiting my return. My choice- (which isnt listed) would be by a trusted friend or family member driver. PLus since I'm in a group lottery pool, we'll probably all take the one guys fire truck and arrive that way! (He's the firechief in our town). I agree with wearing a disguise. Why not! :) Grab a wig, some goofy glasses , funky teeth,and a propeller hat! Wait a sec! Thats what I look like now ! In TN if you have a jackpot winning ticket you have to go to Nashville. If you win something below $199,999 that's not a jackpot you can claim it at the regional offices.

I'd probably use my personal car too and not take any photos or anything like that. Dallas to Austin is a bit of a ride but if that is what you have to do, it's what you have to do.Here in Louisiana, the lottery has it's headquarters here in Baton Rouge, but also has sattelite offices in other cities around the state. If someone doesn't live in Baton Rouge, they can simply go to the local lottery office to claim their prize. Of course, it can also be claimed by mail.Just wondering if it can b... [ More ]
