four4me,There is no dimwit factor here, it is just a case of needing to understand how to best use the editor. In general, people who approach the editor by only applying what they have used elsewhere or in the past are going to encounter problems like you're describing. On the contrary, people who take a few minutes to learn how to use some of the advanced features are going to be able to churn out impressive-looking posts. If you want something to be placed in a specific manner in a post... [ More ]

this clunker i'm using is over 5 yrs old packed to the max with all the hardware it can handle. keeping it clean and doing maintenance is a must. Modem connected. I will admit i have trouble posting to some threads and blogs for some reason many times things i post don't appear like i typed them. Spaces between lines are not there. Numbers that were in order when i typed them are are connected to one another like if i type 1234 5678 it posts like 12345678 all stuck together. Then i have to edit... [ More ]

Now if PETA will stop harrassing me everytime I kill the mouse, life would be so much easier.BTW...somebody pull that string tighter, the tin can is not transmitting those blips as good as it was.Sir Metro

That warning message are there so that you don't get an out-of-control script that hangs your PC. With Lottery Post's editor, it is safe to click yes, and you should in fact click yes. Also, the limiting factor is NOT the Internet connection speed, like cable modem or dial-up, it is only based on the performance of your PC itself. For example, those with an Athlon 64 FX-55 (like me ) will post a complex message faster than someone with a Pentium 4 or Pentium 3.By the way, for anyone considering... [ More ]

I get a warning !......with a new computer and my high speed connection DSL that little chart only took about three minutes to post. Unlike the old way of around one second. The chart of Joesph77 and mine froze in place. Then the place where the Warning appeared blanked out The WARINING message reads like this..... A script on this page is causing Internet explorer to run slowly if it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to Abort your Script

Todd-For me personally, I really don't care about the error code popping up at times. Also for me, it happens even when I don't want to post charts or things of that nature.I do have a new computer with cable connection, therefore I have the fastest connection that is available to me in my area for internet access. I will NEVER click yes on anything that I'm not familiar with as there are too many nasty worms and viruses that can harm one's computer. The message does not ask if one wants to conti... [ More ]

If it asks if you want to continue waiting you say yes . What the heck is so difficult about that? The delay is extra error-checking code that runs, because so many people posted charts in the past that screwed up the forum. If you don't like the delay, use the built-in table creation features. Or try posting smaller charts. Or get a faster computer, because YOUR computer determines the speed that the code runs, not the LP server.

Win d-I too get that message at times; at least I know it's not just me. I know it does not help the situation, but you can take heart in knowing that you are not alone. It just started doing this recently for me; and like you, I don't know the cause.Good luck as you try to figure it out.
