I think you've said just about everything I'd say about it all. The only thing I'd add is that I don't believe lottery players in general care whether the balls are used, or computers. At least not enough to allow it to influence whether they buy tickets.In fact, I'd offer the opinion that there will never be another lottery start-up using balls. I could see Powerball going to computerized drawings if they have another huge second prize payout again this year like they had twice already. That way they could rig the outcomes to exclude frequently played white ball combinations so it doesn't happen again.

It would be a tragedy to see PB and MM go back to computerized drawings. I agree with this one LOTTOMIKE. I think PB, MM, and all CA lotto games [SLP, Fantasy 5, and Pick 3] should stay in ball games in a random order.

no no no.thats exactly the danger in this! they want to go to computerized drawings and use fancy cartoons to hypnotize you into liking the computerized drawings.any computerized drawing is unacceptable at all cost

It really doens't matter to me at long as we get to see it on TV. Like if they had to go to computer drawings have it animated on tv with little white balls coming out of something with the numbers on it (like a casino keno game or something of that sort) and then the mega ball follows. Too me the odds are still the same. Brad

That's your opinion, but I don't share it.So long as sites like Lottery Post keep the heat on, I do not think that the lotteries will be able to get away with it. Not if I have anything to do with it.

OpinionIt's going to happen sooner or later.Lets face it. While many folks who visit this site express anti-computer drawing views, the predicted disasters aren't happening in the real world. There isn't one lottery that has sunk, gone out of business or experienced lower sales after going to computers and animations. Not one state that changed to computers has gone back to ball machines. If either of them did, it would be a devastating blow to the lottery industry. Profits would sink, and whoever does it would prob eventually have to file bankruptcy or just quit the game. Player confidence, IMHO, would be drained and no one would end up buying tyickets, thus decreasing the major jackpot sizes, or causing weeks upon weeks of rollovers to get a high jackpot.
