Listen up Just6ntlc. I have no problem with someone who can explain their thoughts in a sentence or two. But once you've said that you hope NC passes a lottery, and that they will be much better off for doing it, there is no need to repeat that same thought every single time I post another news story on the NC Lottery. Everyone already knows how you feel about it.Keep in mind that is just ONE example. There are numerous other topics in which the same thing happens.

Listen up Todd. I have my response. The reason I'm doing fewer one sentence material because I want to respect your rules, but also clutter is one of my weaknesses. When I do a topic or respond to thread, I'm explaining in full detail with 2+ sentences and 2+ lines. The example of the math and the lottery, I only pick my numbers based upon what I think will be the next numbers and/or what my dad thinks.

I think that was the whole point to this rule is that only two people accounted for 80% of the posts on several forums. Literally the whole page on the forum would be the same person responding to stuff. It's great to respond to 2-4 items a day and it keeps the forums alive but when the same person resonds to 20+ topics a day it becomes a drag.

Tntea we've been over this before Todd created the prediction pages for people to post their predictictions. One of the main reasons he did it was because the pick 3 threads were so full of predictions before you came on board, that it was nerve racking to say the least trying to find posters and the numbers they posted. I agree with you.. The menu bar is great. I use it all the time. If I want to know what is being said about GA.. I research GA.. and that is all I see... That is why I was so confused on how the if you play posts were so bothersome to some people. Another thing I didn't understand. If one didn't play online.. and played only there state.. why would they want to look through a list of predictions for their state when the post could be for their state only..Still blows me away..

i certainly don't have any problem posting my picks on the prediction board.today when i looked i think i was number one in hit ratio the last thirty days. i also put plenty of interesting topics and polls up for people to respond to.i keep a platinum membership to support the site.i hope i'm not stepping on anyones toes,i like everyone here and todd this is a great site,just my thoughts........

Todd,That was an excellent response to Badger's post. I have been advocating that since you started the prediction pages. That is exactly what those pages are intended for. It is no harder to enter your picks on those pages for specific states than it is to create separate forum threads for each state. In fact I would say it is easier to do so. Ooooh...now that is a good idea emilyg. If there were some way it could be kept tidy , it would be nice if there were like a folder or something for each state, and the posts regarding that state were all in that folder. As it is now one has to often browse through a lot of posts looking for info on a particular state that is posted.Something tells me (hunch) that this is something that is easier said than done (or kept tidy) but I think you hit on a real good idea here in principle.

For people whom have difficulty finding stuff they are interested in like certain numbers different states and anything in particular there is a great search feature on here at the top of the page in the tool bar. One only needs to type what they are interested in. Find and set the features to whatever thread or topic they are looking for. This will narrow down your search and keep you from having to go through 50 pages of stuff to find what you lookin for.Using daily topics will also help you f... [ More ]

I play many states; however if I was one who played a particular state I would not want to go plowing through one thread looking just to see if my state is even listed in that particular thread or not. Emily, I am not going to run a post for each state any more. I believe everyone here has the *know how* to work the system that I am using. I ran it past my 11 year old niece, who was able to work each state out on hand for me. She even picked the winning numbers for me. Too, bad , she doesn't live here. I am going to do my tracking of each state here at my desk and play accordlingly. I will pm those of you who like the system when something like trips or doubles are due for their state.... [ More ]

Actually, Jack, you're not on any block list, nor could I imagine a situation where someone would want to.Thanks for the reminder about adding the e-mail notification block as well. I'll get to work on it.Because you've pondered the LP database storage size, I'll tell you. It currently takes up about 4 Gigabytes of space, which is actually somewhat reasonable, given the millions of records that it holds.
