More times than any I have always pick my own numbers! I do every so often throw in a QP in the middle of a 5 dollar ticket. I have 2 tickets 5 lines each (10 dollars) that I run at all times for either MM or PB, it's only when I buy extra tickets that I throw in a QP or two

I like PB going to a ball machine when they select the winning numbers and picking my own numbers before the draw. However, when people do QPs, the computer chooses the numbers in a random draw before the PB drawing. I think computerize the drawings in any type of jackpot game has a better shot of winning the jackpot than ball machines.

you cannot eliminate computer drawings,then the lottery would not survive,after all the computers pick the numbers thet haven't been chosen by players,and those balls hit,even though it's supposed to be random it isn't really.

With these odds, I definately wouldn't do quick pick. I rather pick my own numbers because QPs will likely lose. So many QPs have won the jackpot, but also lots of losers than picking your own.

bought a hundred bucks of qp's,won about five times,so it shows if 100 people bought one dollar qp's a piece,then 95 people would lose,but 5 won with qp's,no one ever knows how many losers there are with qp's

Right now, I'm 24 years old, but I have to listen to my dad's demands. I've played the lotto since I turned 18 when my dad was 49 years old. My dad wants to pick his own numbers, but demanded me to buy him his tickets.

Regardless if we play PB, MM, and/or CA SLP, my numbers are dependent on the last draw. My own picks always change from each draw. When my dad picks his PB, MM, and/or CA SLP, he does change his numbers from time to time, but he sticks to these numbers for a certain number of draws. I rarely will do Quick Picks.

I didn't know the next PB number was in effect. I thought it was for the 03 September draw (?)Either way, I wouldn't chance my betting. I choose one of each. First number on sheet is the QP and the second number is my number. Pretty much change numbers each draw.

It's very possible. When people choose QPs, they have the decision to pick those numbers a month later. In the meantime, my dad would be picking his own picks in PB, MM, and CA SLP.

If I was living in a PB state with my dad, my dad would pick his own because he doesn't believe in QP. 30% of the time the jackpot is won by own picks and 70% were QPs.

i'll probably drive 2 hours tomorrow,buy mm tickets,spend 8 bucks for gas,and win 3 dollars,if lucky.pik 3/4 not going well,take time off from that,go to casino this weekend,always do when i get mad at lottery.

when i lived in n.j. and a big one hit,looto officials would wait til all machines,in every store sent in a tally,before they announced a winner,so i think individually in every store selling pb tics,they have their own random #.generator;not one for all of powerball,thus higher turnover ticket states,ohio,etc.have more winners.

Well, my dad usually picks his own numbers about 99.2% of the time and .8% of the time quick picks [based on family decision]. So basically it is random and .056% of the time I would win PB, MM, and/or CA SLP by Quick Pick.

That's probably because 70% of players play quick picks, and in a truly random game, that would make sense that 70% of winners are quick picks then.

I do QP's because I only play one line with powerplay for 2 dollars so if I do not win off of that oh well! In the FAQ section of powerball website it says that 70% of winners are QP's any way. Can not go against that big of winning percent.

If I was living in a Powerball state with no sales tax, I would pick my own picks. If I was living in a Powerball state with sales tax, I would choose quick picks. Overall, I would pick my own [from my dad] most of the time if I played PB, MM, and/or CA SLP.
