So many states have this game now 5/39. I was recently looking through all the lotteries websites and found at least 10 states that had the game and most did call it Fantasy 5. Brad

ray:Pari-mutuel means the prize pool is divided by the number of winners (think horse racing) as opposed to winning the same amount each time you have X numbers.

John,When I first read you post about the amount of the lower prizes I checked Ohio Rolling Cash5 payouts which is also a 5/39 game. Ohio Rolling Cash5's jackpot starts at $100K and rolls from there until it's won and the lower prizes have fixed amounts of $1, $10 and $100 which means the majority of the prize money goes to the jackpot while Georgia divide the prize money equally for each prize level which explains the different payout amounts. Hi Everyone,Now I definitely see where the extra funds for the 4 of 5 and 3 of 5 prizes are coming from. Last night no one won the Georgia Fantasy 5 and only $28,000.00 rolled over. That is really sad. If your 5 lucky numbers would have come up last night you would have won a big $28,000 instead of $100,000 or more.WOW.LA - John

Lottomike, Lotto 5 is a popular game for TN. Since they start est jackpots more and more people have been buying. That's why there has been so many winners here as of late. Spreading the wealth is great with me. I have won 4 of 5 too many times in Georgia and received $90.00 for example. Will be nice to win something decent like $400.00. No they are not changing the matrix. It is paramutual but the only way to get a bigger payout is to increase the percentages for the 2nd and 3rd tier prizes and lower the amount given to the jackpot for each drawing. Spreading the wealth.Brad

My guess is this. CASH Only will get his wish (of many) to make Take Five a jackpot game. Only thing is, it won't be in New York, but Georgia. In any case, I ought to get tickets next time I go to Georgia, which I hope is soon because I need a MARTA fix.

Hi Everyone,I just learned today that the Georgia Lottery Corporation is changing the payout of the Fantasy 5 game effective August 7, 2005. Right now if you hit 3 of 5 you normally win between $7.00 to $12.00. The average payout for a 3 of 5 win will now be around $20.00. Currently if you hit 4 of 5 you could expect to win $65.00 to $150.00. Starting this Sunday you can expect to receive around $400.00 or more.Great news for Georgia Lottery Players.Thanks,John - LA
