i truly feel for the victims of the hurricaneand am confident our government backed by our tax dollars will make thos poor folks whole or near to it.how-ever if they allow rebuilding in the same area is just asking for more of the samei think the area should be vacated and restored for the use of natural waterside estuary environment.

WHAT I can't believe I just saw that! All that needs to be said here is, Our Government has too many times, again and again, ran like heck to the aid of many foreign countries (with interest free loans that we the people here end up paying for when they don't pay it back) when disasters have hit them! Already made a trip to the red cross and gave a hundred. I agree if you want to give your lotto money to the red cross do so otherwise leave the jackpots alone. It'll set up lawsuits and overall bad mojo all around for now and the future. Lottery players, including some victims of Katrina, will spent more than that playing the lotteries this week alone. Lottery players who are interested in contributing to victims of Katrina can contribute their lottery funds directly instead of buying lotteries tickets until the crisis is over. Also maybe the winners of those jackpots can request that the government gives all the taxes they will have to pay to the victims of Katrina. Good luck to you.RJOh

That government you're talking about is bought and paid for by the taxpayer. The good old fix all, cure all, is paid for by those who pay taxes all year long. And yes, the government is going to provide aid and monies to those impacted; even to the thieves.

That's never going to happen. The lottery officials aren't just going to hand over two big jackpots. Why should they? Maybe the government should do something instead.

That's the total of mega million and powerball.If there could only be a way to get the organizers of these two jackpots toDONATE them to the victims of Katrina. I'm sure the lottery players wouldn't mind starting over at the minimum jackpots compared to what all those people lost. Any ideas on how to go about this or even suggest it to them????
