National Lottery For America?

Hi everyone: I was wondering, a few years ago, there was talk between Mega Millions and Power Ball to combine the two lottery games into a one big national lottery. Personally, I would prefer to see one national lottery game. So, what ever came of that idea/plan? If anyone knows the answer to my question or if they can pin point me to a reference source it would be great
