Ohio have two lottery games tonight, MegaMillions and Rolling Cash5. The MM the odds of winning $250,000 is 1:3,904,701 and the odds of winning RC5 jackpot of $476,000 is 1:575,757 so RC5 is getting my lottery money tonight.

Once Mega Millions almost had multiple jackpot winners for the starting jackpot. I remember on July 27, 2004, not only was the jackpot actually won by one ticket at $10 million (the starting jackpot under the then 5/52 + 1/52 matrix), there were 34 other tickets that each won $175,000 (the match 5+0 prize under the 5/52 + 1/52 matrix). If a different mega ball had been picked, there may have been multiple winners for that drawing

Just when you thought you had the lottery down to a science, it throws you yet another curve ball. Humans believe that many people may be more deserving to win/share larger jackpots, and only one should win smaller ones. But it looks like the lottry could not care less, and does not exhibit the same favoritism. Imagine several winners for a jackpot under $1 million dollars! Ouch.

I think it was more likely that a 500 million prize would occur than 2 people winning at that level but it seemed overdue for a under 100 million win. Let's just hope it's not like Powerball of last year where it was always won at under 100 million.

There was someone a few years back that bought several quick picks for Lotto Texas. Two lines on one ticket had the exact same 6 numbers on them. It's totally random. Well, congratulations to CA and MI for winning the MM jackpot. However, CA could lose their rights in playing MM effective on Friday's draw. If that's the case, well CA had their last MM draw.

I don't think it's that odd or strange that a lower jackpot was won by more then one person. I agree with Prob that it was bound to happen sometime. We can't always have huge jackpots, which is fine with me.

the winner on the 11th got his jack pot tic and then made a bo bo and got 3 more [and redid the jack pot tic a 2nd time ] the guy went to pick up winnings and they told him that 2 winners were from the same store not a bad bobo made him millions

I agree with Todd in that the result of this MM drawing tells us once again that anything can happen in lottery. Otherwise, I doubt if one could understand the psychology of those who have often been in such jackpot games as MM or PB. In this sense, I guess, it might make many MM/PB players slightly more optimistic than before.Congrats to the CA and MI winners even though each share may not be as big as usual.

Todd,I may be wrong but I thought there was another multiple winner in mega millions. I think its was a drawing where 3 tickets won and one guy had 2 of the three tickets. I cant remember the date, I'm thinking 2003 one winner was from Michigan I think.

Since The Big Game became Mega Millions, there has never been two jackpot winners sharing the jackpot. Now, it happens when the jp is only $35 million! Just goes to show how anything can happen, I guess.
