My vote is a definite no. I don't trust the computerized drawings because there would be more jackpot winners and less interest. I wished that CA had eliminated all the computerized drawings.

I voted "no....i i don't trust computerized draws." I would have voted "HELL NO!!" (for extra emphasis), but that wasn't one of the choices.

With no lottery here in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee are "my states," as far as playing the lottery goes. If any of those states tried to switch to computer drawings, I would join the fight against it.

click on results in the blue menu bar on top of the screen and click state lottery report card.it will give a grade like a is good and f is bad.the same as a grade would be in school.computer draws have the potential to be manipulated and abused.ball drawings are the draws you can see on live tv....

the History Channel once ran a special on a guy who got people to play slots in vegas for him (he worked for the gambling commission) with a system he rigged into the machines, play an exact sequence of bets and a jackpot would result at a preset time... then he figured out the code to keno, they got caught breaking the bank in Atlantic City because he registered in the hotel with his real name, and the casino security chief remembered him as the one who tested their keno software...

Technology ...... I built my last 2 computers from motherboard up. Technology ....... I use it evey day happily. However, am not baffled by BS easily.

Just because I'm in the south (a red state) is not indicative that daylight has to be brought in by buckets or that toilet facilities have moon crecents carved in the door.

Have you learned to use an ATM yet? Life moves on..............I think you might be surprised if you ever went to watch the draw with a RNG. It is no where near as horrible behind closed doors as you picture it. The auditors are there before and after the draw and they are certified just as your ping pong balls are. The public can even watch if they would bother to take the time. Ping Pong Balls are all for the show, not the results. It is much easier to have a malfunction with a ball mach... [ More ]

Powerball is the only game that Oregon has that is not computerized so when that turns to the darkside I will play the game only when it has a jackpot in excess of $200 million. I will not be regular player any more and I will focus my money on my local casino.-weshar75

When Keno in Vegas went from actual balls to computerized RNG's people threatened not to play. Lasted about as long as it took to run three Keno games.

Would I still play computerized lotto? Yes, but not as much. I'm just a recreational player (until I hit something, anyway!) but if it's all ever computrized, A buck and draw and not anymore!

Where's the human error of having ballsets replaced periodically, having an independent auditing firm oversee both pre-draw and post-draw tests in addition to the actual drawing, watching those carefully weighed balls being loaded with gloved hands rolling around in the hopper and the balls showing themselves as the jackpot draw??????? It's called proper oversight.

My focus is the money. What is the difference in odds of me winning with a computer and the odds of me winning with a machine? I think they are the same. I'm not a millionaire with the ball dropper. So I have no love for the ball dropper. Would I win if they went to a computer? The odds are in favor of NO I would not. So I see no difference to my bottom line.

Random Number Generators are the way to go. Human error is reduced. If you have ever put a coin in a slot machine you have experienced a RNG.

In Georgia I believe there would be an outcry like you wouldn't believe. Consumer reporters from TV stations would get mileage for weeks and force the issue for a change back to ball drop. Nope, don't believe Georgia lottery players would be acceptant at all.
