Based on the stores I visited, in the very small town I go to, there should be plenty of money left over for the 5+0 winners. Every station is pushing it. Every paper is pushing it. The feeding frenzy is on. There WILL be a winner tonight. Too many greedy people for it to not be hit. People are robbing the Piggy Bank to bet their dollar.

There is definitely going to be a jackpot winner or winners tonight. Already $72M went in to the pool since Wednesday. Thats ~30% of the 50% that goes into the jackpot pool and equals ~$102M. So, they already sold ~$204M worth of tickets. This cover more then 146,107,962.00 combinations. These are not exact figures, just a rough estimate. Am I right?

$204-50%=$102M that goes to the pool and out $102M 30% goes in to the jackpot which is $72M

Yep, Mega may have very high odds but that's counterbalanced by its very high population.

WA state had someone win 3 times to equal 1+ million so that's already happened. Powerball isn't going to roll to 1 billion so that's NOT going to happen. I don't see Mega breaking 500 let alone 1 billion since it seems cursed to only offer smaller prizes in spite of it's very high odds.

Anything is possible EXCEPT "Gail Howard" & "Mystical" style hocus-pocus sold as reality.

The proximity to a hit is best measured by the number of 2nd prize winners

in prior draws. 10-15-05 had 21 2nd prize hits suggesting EXACTLY 50% of the possible powerballs (out of 42) were chosen. The very next draw (a new record pot) had 49 2nd prize hits suggesting ALL 42 powerballs (some repeating) were chosen.

There is a father son team from OH (I think?) that has won 3 major jackpots. I don't remember the any of the JP sizes....but the were big. So, option 4 may have already come to pass. That's if you count the father/son team as one person.

I have heard of several people winning 2 major jackpots before.

I would certainly like to see a billion dollar jackpot, but would settle for any jackpot whether it is the PB and MM combo this week or not.
