Ah. That's why I asked if it was a function (what you call a UDF) or a formula. They are handled differently.

I think it was a freak accident or something.

Had to re-create the pick 4 sheet after re-inserting the user defined function into the module.

Whew!

I thought that I was going to pass out cuz it's the only way that I can keep track of all the pick 4's that need to fall still.

The trick will be finding out what has changed. Too bad we don't have a sick spreadsheet hospital. Drop it off, and pick it up when it's all better.

usually when i see these ##### in a cell i have to widen the with of the cell and then i can see the input number.

Well, I'd say either recopy the formula from another cell, or try and find your original function legalT() ., since that's not a built-in one, at least on mine. The spreadsheet is looking for a function called legalT . Once you find it, you will have to run a recalc.

The only way I could reproduce this error was to alter my reference style (A1/R1C1).

In the cell, it's saying name

in the formula bar, does it say NAME? ?

do/did you have a function called legalT() or just a formula in the cell?

you may just need to tell it to recalc.

Don't know what happened, but my calculations for Cell H are going haywire.

where Cell H is =legalT(C2) it comes back ####

and prior to this, it had been returning the box form of my pick 4 results.

Can anyone tell why it would do this
