Yes, currently my strategy is to not play with real money until I can figure out a strategy.

I'm stuck on wheeling 5 numbers for ten picks and then wheeling the mirrors or another set of 5 in order to come up with 20 plays.

I need a method for picking the 5 numbers to wheel and I don't like the results from the methods I've used so far.

So, I 'm pretty much in the wilderness on this one so far.

I do like the 5 number wheeling method, but which 5 numbers is the question.... [ More ]

No winner.

Balance thus far - $180 online and $40 locally.

I went to the local store and picked up 10 draws for the PowerBall tonight.

My guess based on a little history of the numbers is...

6 for the low white ball

41 for the red PowerBall.

I'm using the PowerPlay option as well.

All 10 draws have the 6 and red 41.

It's a big payoff or nothing.

I'm especially curious to see how this next 7 days plays out with this system, because I know it's not consistent by any means. But 2 hits a week is profitable. One hit a week is just above breaking even if playing strictly online with it.

I figured I would do something new and actually track the money along with my picks so everyone could see the value of the system - whether it's worth using or not.

I used a similiar method of playing back in the beginning.. it is called powertrails..

It didn't produce doubles..

Then I saw the OHIO method.. which a man from OHIO named it .. I think that was a long time ago..

it wheeled for doubles..

Been a while since I used it.. It did ok in some states.. a hit or two a week.. no profit making due to low pay outs in TN..(Store).. that was before going online..

No winner tonight, but the system did get two hits within a seven day period which is the minimum I was hoping for.

That comes to a profit margin of $180 online and $40 locally.

What I meant by those numbers was at least one will probably show. The other numbers would come from a combination of cold numbers. or possibly the mid way numbers. Best to watch where they are coming from each draw. Congrats

That's a box hit. 2 hits out of 6 draws, thus far.

Cashwise, I'm at +$190 online and +$50 locally. (pretend money, that is)

It doesn't look like I have the 0, 7, and 4 in the same group for tonight's draw.

This system is purely mechanical, Blackie. I don't make any choices in the picks.

I back-tested this system in the Texas Pick 3 and came out slightly ahead after 30 draws. ($40) street value verses online play. Online play would produce a higher profit.

The Texas Pick 3 seems more radical in my view anyway. I don't know how their machines start up and load the balls, but the Oklahoma Pick 3 starts each ho... [ More ]

Tonight's winning number from Oklahoma's Pick 3 is 7-8-1

I got a hit on that one but only after I added 10 additional numbers.

Enterestingly, I found out that there are 252 possible combinations of picking the right 5 numbers of 0 thru 9, but the digits 1, 7 and 8 do appear in about 18 of the possible 252 which comes out to 1:14 odds I'm going to get a hit. Not too bad, really, considering the odds of the rest of the games.

Well, that's just great. I just realized that 10 numbers only gives me about a 30% chance of getting a hit 50% of the time. I've got the Yen side, but I'm going to have to add the Yang as well.

I may be onto something here, and then again, it may just be another dumb system that popped into my head.

At any rate, it's a sure-fire system that culls out what numbers are prevailing across a short span of time without human intervention screwing it all up.

I'm going to try the same numbers again for tonight. I'm testing a ten spoke system than considers the last ten draws and then splits the wheel in half to play the most predominant digits , taking CalifDude's advice and focusing on what is hot.

every online site has a higher payout. They want you to play there but that doesnt mean you'll come up a winner all the time. I've played all states numerous times for $50-$100 a pop and came up empty handed and then ever blue moon I might hit for $225, $450 or $900 and get paid. I dont worry about how they come up with the money. If I ever hit and didnt get paid I will let everyone know

I just congratulated LottoMike for his win. Can't wait for the follow-up to hear that the money is actually in his hands.

It's hard for me to understand how BetSlips can afford the payouts that they give.

I'm just a small peanuts player and want to test out some multi-state techiques such as selecting five digits for the Pick 3's.

I might attempt to take on 3 states at first and see if I can average a couple wins in a week using the 6-way box with 5 digits.

By the way, I highly recommend NOT using another site that SOME Lottery Post members are using. People will try to slip you hints on how to get to that other site, but I have seen actual communications that people have given me from that other site which indicates to me that they have not always been good to players.

This is really hard to believe, but I'm looking at BetSlips.com and my jaw is hanging wide open.

I don't understand where they get the extra money? Is it an abundance of losers that make their payouts so much bigger than what the states give out? And why would BetSlips do that?

Can BetSlips be trusted? That's the big question in my mind.

It seems to me that I could play my box-6 and easily get ahead. Is it as easy as I think or can I lose my ass?

BTW, the payout for a straight is the same as the 1 Unique Digits in the above chart. You can bet as little as 25 cents. So, if you bet 25 cents straight and you hit, it would pay $225. Not bad for a 25 cent bet

are you sure a 6-way box pays $150? That seems a bit steep to me. A 3-way box pays $160 here. $1 play.

Seems a person could run the tables on that amount of payoff to me. Point me to that site if you would. I should be playing that online game instead of my local game.

Well, I was lucky! When it comes to using wheels, I wouldn't try messing with sums or high/low or odd/even so much. Find a pattern that you want to use (maybe the method I used since it proved itself tonight) and stick with it. When you start introducing other factors, you filter out the winning number

yeah, I agree with the rules of play for each individual.

I don't have any rules as of yet, but i can sense that low sums medium sums and high sums tend to hang together. Now that I've said that, it will cease to exist! It's nuts.

but, nonetheless, I think i will start playing next week with the 5 digit wheel and see if i can get a hit before I get to an $80 deficit.

You have the idea. Set a rule to follow and stick with it. It won't always work, of course, but if it hits enough to make a profit, that's what most of us are looking for!

I have spreadsheets for 5-digit, 6-digit, 7-digit, 8-digit, and 9-digit wheels. I have the doubles also for through the 8-digit. But I like the 5-digit or 6-digit wheels the best.

I agree. I like the 5-digit wheel the best for the same reasons you gave. Now ... to determine which 5 digits!!

When I use the 5-digit, I like to look at the digits in the order drawn then take every other one. For instance in OK tonight:

After thinking about this for a long while, and not just since starting this thread, but after reading a lot of threads here for a couple weeks, I'm about to conclude that this pick 6 of 10 system is about as good as it gets. OR is it?

That is, for the player who wants to just play a single state as myself.

Adding a seventh number would create 40 possibilities, and too much to risk.

Maybe 5 numbers of the 10 is enough to risk with 10 possibilities and a $10 play.

Test and practice at it .

Its your game your money.

Keep track of your low and high digits in the

numbers drawn.

Its a guessing game on what you think

the next drawn number will be on the low and high

digits as well as what digits to choose.

If you think the next number will be lhh lean more on

the high digits in the mix like 2 low and 4 high digits.

The same applies for llh go 4 low 2 high.

Twenty combinations of six digits:

abc, abd, abe, abf, acd, ace, acf, ade, adf, aef, bcd, bce, bcf, bde, bdf, bef, cde, cdf, cef, def.

where each letter represents a specfic digit.

Using this method, though, eliminates all doubles and triples in a Pick 3, 280 possibilities in all.
