Todd - I like the new editor page, it seems to be much faster in loading !!

I do like the tool bar at the bottom...when I first saw it on the bottom I didn't think I would like it...

I haven't tried the Helpful Tips section yet, but I will look at it my next post...

As I mentioned, it will eventually replace the existing one, but I think it would make sense to have it fully tested first, right? The link is the only way to get to it.

I saw the new editor in your first post yesterday. I just thought it was going to automatically replace how the current one looks.

There are no new emoticons, so maybe you're just seeing ones that you didn't notice before.

If you read my first post, you will find the new editor. It is not supposed to be some kind of revolutionary difference. I am rewriting a lot of code, which requires a great deal of testing, and I was requesting help.

How do you like the look of the new editor page? Do you like the toolbar buttons on the bottom? I thought it made the page organized better, as the Subject and Message boxes are closer together.

Also, I added an expandable Helpful Tips section, and allow people to change their mind about which forum they want to post to. Is there anything else that would be helpful

Lottery Post does not work very well at low resolutions like that. Unless you have a really old computer, you should be running at at least 1024 x 768.

I tested I didn't see any problems. I like the way you can post to a topic just by clicking in the middle on the topic. I clicked but didn't do any posting.

Thanks for testing. Any problems of the type you mentioned may be caused by old data in your browser cache. That tends to happen whenever I change major pieces of code. Try clearing your browser cache.

I used it for my GA Eve post. It worked well. All the buttons I tried worked. It did take awhile to load but it wasn't in my cache and I'm on dial-up so....Over all and big .

I am working on moving Lottery Post to an ASP.NET 2.0 codebase, and it's really very complicated -- a tremendous amount of work.

Therefore, I have been slowly migrating certain parts of the site over, and testing them as I go.

The latest part that I am almost ready to go live with is the new editor.

I built a new Post New Topic page using the new editor, and which was constructed from scratch using ASP.NET 2.0. It's not really visible on the screen, but there is a tremendous amount... [ More ]
