She told me that, lottery was considered by the state to be gambling but what you play in a casino was not considered gambling. She say something about games in a casino to be games of chance but lottery was not....

Trust a casino manager to clarify the difference between 'gambling' (scratchers, jackpot games, pick 3s, etc.) and 'games of chance' (slots, roulette, craps).

Thanks for sharing that. I can't imagine how I've lived this long and never saw the difference.

i will not miss online lotteries anyways. Have you seen what they look like?i've seen a couple of them year ago. And most of them are pick6 1 to 45, 49 or 52. Who is going to get that right. And the latest thing now is to make games be accompanied with bonus balls which makes the game's odds go higher. Let me give you an example, a pick6 game with no bonus ball from 1 to 59 has the odds of 45,057,474 while a pick6 game that selects 5 numbers from 1 to 46 and a bonus ball from 1 to 33 (thus pick6... I'm not sure why some folks seem to believe they'll look better trying to kick you around. You seem to be a middling harmless, courteous, nice guy starting quite a number of threads that get a lot of response.

I don't have one of those no-see bubbles, but I try to remember to do it anyway for the red-light camera watchers.

Same as I make it my business to go outdoors and give a single fingered salute at the sky when I hear a helicopter coming over. Just in case they happen to be looking down.

Tenaj, I think what he means is Will the gov start raiding players homes and throwing them in prison just for playing online . yes it is technically illegal now, but as I understand it no players have ever been arrested for it in the USA. So it is basically still legal now. The new bill will charge even the players with a federal offense. So things will be totally different than they are now.

The government will ban farting if you let them. After all it's for the "common good". We don't want extra methane in the atmosphere, we can't tax it and it could get into the hands of terrorists.

I don't understand the poll. It already is illegal! Online lotteries are not legal.

As far as buying lottery tickets goes, that's not online gaming. The services offered (like PTS) aren't wagering anything. As long as they don't run their own lottery, then it's just a service. If you pay somebody to go to the pharmacy because you can't drive or don't have time, that's not illegal. thats good advice i just might do that.in fact i'll do a search on it.the reason i did this was because a member said tonight at 1am on msnbc that they were doing a segment on the government banning online gambling.thought i'd do a poll see what everyone thinks.i'll scrap the poll if its against todds wishes.but if he is alright with it i would like to see the results.i think this is a good poll.sort of like the immigration poll i did.
